Justice for Animals Allegedly Caged and Starved

Target: John Weddle, District Attorney of Itawamba County, Mississippi

Goal: Punish woman who allegedly starved raccoon and multiple dogs.

Several animals allegedly suffered severe starvation and malnourishment in a Mississippi home. All of the animals, including three Great Danes, were reportedly caged with no access to food or water. Tragically, a raccoon and a pair of small puppies passed away.

The person residing at the property, Jayla Roberts, is out on bail after her initial arrest. The nature of the charges or any punishment she may face is unclear. This woman should receive a mental health evaluation to determine if she needs help. If she is found mentally competent, she should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Dear Mr. Weddle,

The case of Jayla Roberts fully demonstrates the complexities of many animal cruelty offenses. We do not know if Ms. Roberts may possibly be suffering from a mental disorder that could have led to animal hoarding. All we do know is that many animals are suffering or dead, allegedly due to her actions.

These apparent victims deserve justice. Without intervention, the three Great Danes and other living beings discovered locked in cages without food or water would likely have perished along with the three reported deceased. Please ensure that if found guilty this defendant is held accountable, whether through psychological or legal remedies.

  1. This HORRIBLE ABUSER needs to be punished to the FULLEST extent of the Law under The PACT ACT!!! 😢

  2. Mississippi – home of the brain dead.

  4. Linda Cummings says:

Please lock this heartless moron in a tiny cage and don’t bother providing any food or water. We don’t want soulless assholes living among man or beast.

  5. This HORRIBLE ABUSER needs to be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the Law under the PACT ACT!!! 😢 😢

  6. All animal abusers globally must be sentenced to death. A slow and agonising death is essential.

  7. Stella Waldvogel says:

I googled the news story. Ms. Roberts is apparently young, employable, and capable of filling a food bowl and using a water hose. She also apparently can afford to go to a salon and get her hair frosted. If she didn’t want to care for the dogs she should have made an effort to rehome them. Surely someone would want purebred Danes, and there are breed specific rescues that would almost surely have come and picked them up. And even if none of these things were possible (which I find hard to believe), being euthed at a kill shelter is more merciful than slow starvation.
She has no excuse. Give her the maximum sentence.

  8. Jaime Perez says:

Why do people think it’s ok to hurt and abuse innocent animals? It’s so sickening. Until strict harsh punishments are handed out to abusers, things like this will continue.

  9. Britny Whitaker says:

This woman was in samaritan’s market in Fulton saying that she was a great Dane breeder and that she had puppies for sale… she needs to be punished to the fullest extent that she can be!!!

  10. As a therapist, please stop immediately thinking that everyone who behaves in this manner needs a mental health evaluation. Some individuals are just psychopaths and should be dealt with solely through the justice system.

  11. stop human garbage says:

    • Don’t waste tax money on the evil retard, get her killed with Street Justice – A Red Hit Poker shoved where the sun doesn’t shine will leave her writhing in pain, wicked moron

  12. Stop enabling pieces of shit like this by stating “mental illness” plays a role!!! This type of evil shouldn’t be given an excuse. Burn and destroy this scumbag, anything less is way too lenient and good for this asshole

  13. Lori Hesebeck says:

Bitch should NEVER be allowed to have another pet!!!

  14. Gerardo Hernandez says:

She consciously obtained these animals. She consciously starved them. Treatment should be reserved for those who are capable of becoming decent human beings. This woman lost that capability long ago.

  15. Attorney Weddle please do not let judge set her free!! Judges will not impose the laws of the State and Federal government! PEOPLE WANT JUSTICE! PROSECUTE. WE PAY TAXES!!
