Dozens of Great Danes Reportedly Kept in Blood and Feces-Filled House Deserve Justice

Target: Michael R. Sherwin, Acting U.S. Attorney for Washington D.C.

Goal: Punish the man who reportedly neglected and abused dozens of dogs and rabbits in the name of profit.

Over 30 Great Danes, along with several other dogs and rabbits, reportedly suffered severe abuse and neglect for the sake of profit. Per authorities, the house where they were found smelled strongly of ammonia and feces, and blood covered the walls around the small cage which held multiple large dogs. These innocent animals deserve justice.

Officials from the Humane Rescue Alliance of Washington, D.C. seized 42 animals from the house occupied by Michael Gibson. The dogs were found sleeping on a concrete floor, according to authorities, and they had no access to food or water. Additionally, the remains of several puppies likely intended for sale were reportedly discovered in a minifridge on the property.

The animals are now in the custody of Humane Rescue Alliance at an undisclosed location. Gibson has been charged with four counts of cruelty to animals. Sign below and demand that he receives the harshest penalty possible, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Sherwin,

Dozens of animals, including multiple deceased puppies, were reportedly kept in horrific conditions by a Southeast Washington man using them for profit. Thirty-three Great Danes, along with a Doberman, a Chihuahua mix, and six rabbits, apparently lived amongst their own feces and had no access to food or water. The large dogs lived in a small cage together, per authorities, and blood and feces covered the walls of the house. Rescuers reportedly found the remains of the puppies in a minifridge.

Rescuers believe that the resident, Michael Gibson, had been keeping the animals with intent to sell. This is unacceptable and the true definition of cruelty. I demand that you prosecute this case and seek the harshest penalty possible, if this suspect is found guilty.

Sincerely,

  1. The POS needs his skull cracked open with a hammer

  2. Fucking bastard.sent him straight to hell.

  3. What are we doing here I thought they made this kind of animal abuse a federal crime. Does anybody know if this is true and if so why aren’t they being prosecuted by the federal government on top of the state government?

  4. …no excuse for Mr. Gibson and this horrific situation.

  5. Let’s put Mr. Gibson into a cage, deprive him of food and water, and see how long it takes before he’s BEGGING for someone to help him. These abusers need to suffer the same fate as the helpless animals they so callously abuse; anything short of that is not real justice. I truly believe there is a very special place in HELL for animal and child abusers … and it seems as if Mr. Gibson has already made his reservation.

  6. Those poor animals need justice. I strongly agree that this monster deserves the same abuse!

  7. WISH I COULD BE GOD FOR A DAY!!!! Great Danes are the most gentle couch potatoes. PLEASE PLEASE give MAX penalty..PLUS THE OTHER ANIMALS!!!

After petitions are signed what happens next? All animal abusers need to be punished hard not slapping the wrist. There is a place in hell for animal abusers. These poor animals better have been removed from this hell hole. It would be nice to have updates. Thank you

  9. Maximum plus penalty to all abusers.

  10. Michael Gibson not only needs to receive the harshest penalty allowed, but you CANNOT EVER allow this man to have access to any animal, ever again. I can’t stress this enough. We need a National Registry, that lists every animal abuser (just like child molesters and sex offenders) for the world to see, no matter if they move states, their name is on record. If you just give him a slap on the wrist, they will do it again.

  11. Jaime Perez says:

That stupid POS freak deserves the same treatment he put those helpless animals through! Make him pay all vet bills and throw his miserable self in jail for the rest of his life!!

  12. HOPE THOSE EVIL PEOPLE GET THE SAME TREATMENT NOW. THESE ARE GOD’S CREATURES AND WE MUST PROTECT THEM ALL

  13. Rick and Sue Ogden says:

Okay. Now we know he’s a monster. The question now is, what will the authorities do to punish this thing called a human being, but without proof of what it is? He will try to snow everybody, swear he’s learned his lesson. SO, SO sorry! It was just a bad day, nobody loves him, he didn’t have a role model when he was a kid…yatta, yatta. Listen up, powers that be, and remember this day…today you have the chance to remove a demon from civilized society. Today it was a poor, helpless dog. Tomorrow it will be somebody’s poor, helpless kid.

  14. Steve Baer says:

A question I have is “Was this man acting alone?”
His name may be on the house, and what goes on at the property he owns is his responsibility to prevent and / or stop, but were there others who are also perpetrators and silent enablers. They also should be made an example of. They are responsible for enabling the torture and / or deaths of the individuals involved.

  15. Why do we have to keep signing petitions for animal abuse to be prosecuted? I want follow ups to the petitions we sign so we know if any justice was given to these poor animals or if the pieces of shit that did the abuse was just given a slap on the wrist.

    • My sentiments exactly. I sign each and every one of these petitions as I am so very sorry humans, if that is the word, could even think of doing what these beasts do to helpless animals, cat, dog, bird, or whatever takes their fancy. Why are we, animal lovers, even putting our names to petitions when, for all we know, these petitions are never even seen by the people who should be stopping these cruelties. Please let us, the public, know if they have been given their just deserts – like chopping off their heads preferably or should it be a case of “Do as you would be done by” and punishing them on that. I think that might soon stop animal cruelty

  16. Evil, barbaric, cruel, inhumane, and heartless!!!

  17. Teresa Zamalloa says:

Michael Gibson, you are the most despicable being that treads the earth, the day will come that you also suffer the same fate and from there you will rot in hell.

  18. Gabriela Torres says:

I am so glad that Animal Cruelty Offenders Face Federal Fines and Imprisonment now so you’ll be locked up for a long while, you despicable and ill-born human monster

  19. MAX JAIL for this vile perpetrator! ANIMALS SHALL NOT BE VICTIMS OF HUMAN SADISTS!!!  ALL these DEHUMANIZED, DESENSITIZED, SADISTIC and PSYCHOPATHIC  SUBHUMANS  abusing innocent and defenseless animals, must get VERY HARSH PUNISHMENTS !  This extremely vile perpetrator should NOT be ALLOWED to own animals ever again!  ANIMAL VIOLENCE shall be treated as any human violence. Animals SHALL NOT BE VICTIMS — and they deserve JUSTICE just like YOU and ME!
