Justice for Dog Allegedly Burned with Hairdryer

Target: Frank J. Milos, City Solicitor, Pawtucket, RI

Goal: Prosecute man who allegedly burned dog with hairdryer to the fullest extent the law will allow.

A man in Rhode Island allegedly burned a dog with a hairdryer on purpose before breaking the animal’s leg. This cruelty cannot go unpunished. Demand justice for this innocent animal so horribly abused.

James Kelly was arrested by Pawtucket police after he brought his two-year old female dog to the veterinarian’s office for a fractured leg. Veterinarians believe the injury was inflicted on purpose in an act of malice. They also noticed a large burn on the dog’s side, reportedly caused by a hairdryer.

Kelly now faces two felony cruelty charges, $1,000 in fines, and potentially five years in prison for his alleged cruelty. If these charges prove true, he should not be given a simple slap on the wrist. Sign the petition to ask the area’s prosecutor to seek the harshest penalties the law will allowed.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Solicitor Milos,

An innocent pet dog was allegedly tortured by her owner. James Kelly reportedly burned her with a hairdryer before breaking her leg, for no reason other than that he could. This cruelty cannot go unpunished.

For his reported crimes, Kelly faces two felony cruelty charges, $1,000 in fines, and five years in prison. I ask that you prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law so that no other animal is subjected to just cruelty.

Sincerely,
