Dog Reportedly Starved and Suffering With Large Tumor Deserves Justice

Target: Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha

Goal: Give woman who allegedly left sick dogs outside and refused to provide them with proper veterinary care harsh legal sentence.

Two pit-bull type dogs were allegedly found underweight, and one dog was said to have a massive growth on one of her hind legs. Amanda Medeiros was charged shortly afterwards for animal cruelty and for not providing her dogs with adequate veterinary care. She needs to receive a strict legal sentence if she is found guilty of this inexcusable animal cruelty.

Reports state an 8-year-old dog named Remy was so emaciated, you could see his bones through his fur. Authorities said he had no muscle mass or fat. A 5-year-old dog named Beni was also allegedly underweight and being forced to live outside in the harsh elements with a tumor weighing down one of her back legs. The RISPCA (Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) immediately took custody of the dogs and brought them to an emergency veterinary facility. Sign this petition to demand Medeiros receive a strong punishment under the law if it is discovered that she committed these unfounded acts of animal abuse.

Dear Attorney General Neronha,

Amanda Medeiros was recently charged for allegedly leaving her dogs outside for an unspecified amount of time and for not getting them needed medical care. She needs to spend time in prison if it is found she committed these unwarranted crimes to better ensure other animals will not have to endure the same fate.

An 8-year-old dog named Remy was said to be so thin, you could easily see his bones. He reportedly did not have any fat or muscle mass. Another 5-year-old-dog named Beni was allegedly also too skinny and had a large tumor on one of her back legs. The dogs were seized by the RISPCA and taken to an emergency veterinary clinic. We demand you seek a tough penalty under the law if Medeiros is found guilty of these charges so that other animals will be less likely to suffer.

  1. I don’t see how anyone can do this; yes – this gal deserves punishment. Absolutely!

  2. Carolyn J. Paurowski says:

When you adopt a pet, you have a responsibility for taking care of that animal. Apparently, this abuser is very selfish. She probably got these dogs just to protect her and her property, but doesn’t think she has to be responsible for their health or well being. She most likely just looks at them as a commodity that can just be exchanged for new watch dogs if these dogs die, and that she can just pick up replacements at a shelter (which should do background checks on people who adopt).

Please help these dogs by removing them from her possession and finding them a new home with people who will really care about them. She should also be severely fined and given jail time, plus not be allowed to adopt any other pets, or go near other animals which she will undoubtedly abuse. She should be prosecuted for animal abuse to the fullest extent of the law!

The laws should also be made much stronger for animal abuse, so people should work at getting their governors, city council people, and congress people to make animal abuse laws and penalties much stronger, There are too many animal abusers running around out there – It’s pathetic that we see these petitions so frequently, and unfortunately, it doesn’t say much for the human race with so many people who have no respect for innocents.

Attorney General Peter Neronha please do your job and give this woman a very harsh sentence!

  3. stop human garbage says:

  4. Why adopt when you don’t have the means to take care of these animals, nor the care and compassion. It’s not your rights to have an animal, it’s a privilege and a responsibility you take on. It’s a love for animals. They are in your care…just as you have children, and other loved ones you take care of in your life time, these animals deserve the same respect.

  5. Please investigate this woman for child abuse- emotional, physical and sexual.

  6. Rotten, cruel woman needs to suffer very, very severely for this horrible abuse
Of innocent and helpless dogs! Such rotten, cruel abuse. So very, very sad!

  7. This woman should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and, if found guilty, never be allowed near an animal ever again!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Carol Larson says:

This woman needs to be charged with felony animal cruelty and put in jail.

  9. Why do these people have animals to begin with?! They need to be banned from ever owning another animal in their lifetime…on top of jail time and heavy fines. We need a national registry, naming all persons who have committed animal abuse (similar to pedophiles). So no matter where they live, they are registered as an animal abuser and can be called out if found with an animal in their possession. Better laws are needed.

  10. As long as there are no custodial sentences enforced for acts of animal cruelty, then unfortunately these horrific acts will continue. The punishment must be made to fit the crime.🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕😠😭🤞🙏☘️♥️

  11. What a dirty low life scumbag her picture should be all over the place so people can see who she is. ..same goes for all these scumbags who hurt animals

  12. Amanda Medeiros IS A CUNT POS! Put this CUNT BEHIND BARS NOW!

  13. I pray this evil cruel bitch soon gets her comeuppance and suffers like she made those pups suffer.

  14. Tania Connor says:

Nasty wicked bitch . She needs tying up outside to endure the harsh elements with no food . With one of her legs weighed down with a heavy boulder . Then preferbably throwing of a tall bridge into a deep lake . What a horrible bitch

  15. Enferma maldita, ojala te llegue el cancer y te haga sufrir de la misma manera que ese pobre animal sufrio.cabrona, karma te mando.
Amanda Medeiros te vas pudrir en el infierno cabrona.

  17. Jail this bitch.I’m sick of hearing that people are abusing animals & getting away with it

  18. Carolyn Long says:

This woman needs to be in jail and also banned from ever having another animal. She should not have gotten the dogs if she was not going to take care of them.

  19. Evil, cruel, barbaric, inhumane, and heartless!!!

  20. Ban animal abusers from ever owning or living with animals. Have them pay a huge amount of money to services that help abused animals. Two years in jail and community service in a helping job to learn how you are supposed to be as a human.
