Close Filthy and Unethical Puppy Farms

Puppy Mill

Target: David Shoebridge, Member of the New South Whales Legislative Council and the Greens party

Goal: Shut down puppy farms and move dogs to suitable shelters.

Dogs live in cramped and unsanitary conditions at puppy farms in New South Whales, as these farms are not obligated to abide by any laws. If these puppy farms are not permanently closed down, many dogs will continue to suffer.

Dogs at the farms not only live in small cages, but are also not given needed vaccinations that help them to avoid deadly diseases and parasites. In addition, female dogs are forced to breed nonstop so owners of the establishments are able to collect higher profits.

While many people are pushing for these puppy farms to be closed down, some government officials intend on solving the problem by suggesting a bill be passed that would impose regulations on the farms. The proposed bill would limit how often dogs are allowed to be bred, require dogs be kept in larger areas and would further require that animals’ living areas remain clean.

If owners of puppy farms intended on following any ethical guidelines, they would already be doing so. Therefore, it is highly likely that they will find ways to get around any legal conditions. Sign this petition and let parliament know that dogs still living at these farms need to be relinquished and placed in reputable shelters and furthermore that these unscrupulous businesses need to be shut down immediately. Dogs will continue to suffer suffer greatly if such unethical establishments continue to operate.

Dear Mr. Shoebridge,

Puppy farms in New South Whales are not required to follow any legal guidelines, making it so dogs are forced to live in unsuitable conditions. If these corrupt businesses are not forced to shut down, many more dogs will become sick and die.

Owners of these farms are so ruthless that they usually refuse to give dogs proper vaccinations, or even give female dogs any kind of rest before once again forcing them to breed. Not only does operating puppy farms in this manner adversely affect the dogs, but it also serves to make unsuspecting people sick once the dogs are placed in new homes.

Since many of these farms remain hidden from the public, it is likely that they will continue to operate using illegal practices in spite of any laws set in place to try and prevent this from happening. Because this is the case, it is essential that dogs remaining on these farms not only be placed in proper shelters but that these farms also be permanently closed down.

For all of these reasons, I urge you to stand behind this issue and to encourage lawmakers to support the closing down of these disreputable establishments. Dogs deserve to be surrounded by loving family members, not animal abusers who force them to constantly breed and live in confined and deplorable conditions.

Yes Sandra you’re correct its New South Wales. All puppy mills regardless of country ought to be made illegal and closed down immediately. It’s barbaric the way the poor animals are treated by lazy bastards that don’t want to do a real job.
