Cat Allegedly Thrown Off Balcony Deserves Justice

Target: Leigh Anne Manlove, Laramie County, Wyoming District Attorney

Goal: Give minors maximum legal sentence for allegedly throwing cat off a third-floor apartment balcony.

A cat was allegedly thrown off a third-floor apartment balcony by a group of minors. These individuals need to receive the strictest legal sentence if they are found guilty to better ensure more animals will not suffer.

According to authorities, the minors threw their neighbor’s cat off a balcony. Officers also stated they caught the individuals getting ready to throw the cat off the balcony a second time. The owner of the one-year-old animal decided to surrender him to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, the cat’s teeth and gums were said to be severely bleeding and bruised because of the alleged incident.

Luckily, the cat will soon be put up for adoption. The district attorney’s office is in the process of filing paperwork that would allow them to charge the minors with animal cruelty. Innocent animals never deserve to be treated in such a cold-hearted manner. Demand these minors receive the severest legal sentence if it is found they committed this thoughtless act of animal cruelty.

Dear District Attorney Manlove,

It was recently reported that three young children threw a cat off a third-floor apartment balcony. If they are found guilty, they need to spend the most amount of  time in juvenile detention possible so that it will be less likely they will commit similar acts in the future.

When police arrived, they allegedly caught the minors trying to throw the animal off the balcony a second time. It is likely that the cat would have died or would have had to be put to sleep if they had not arrived when they did. While it is good news that the cat is now safely being taken care of by shelter officials, it was stated that the cat’s teeth and gums were bleeding profusely as a result of what was reported to have taken place.

The individuals who were allegedly involved with this incident need to learn that it is never OK to treat animals in this horrific fashion. Minors who do not learn this lesson at an early age are more likely to continue abusing animals as they get older. We therefore demand that you suggest these minors spend the most time behind bars allowed for this crime and that you further suggest they receive adequate counseling while in juvenile detention if it is found they mistreated this poor cat so they will hopefully treat animals with respect in the future.

  1. Each one of those punks need to be charged with TWO counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated assault, one of torture, and two counts of kidnapping. Yes, lock them up for a minimum of 30 years each but a fair sentence would be 40 years each, no parole.

  2. Those little monsters need to be charged to the fullest extent, and their parents, too, for not teaching them better. I had a cat that had been “set free” by her previous owners, when they moved, by dropping her off a sixth floor balcony to a parking lot. She survived, but it traumatized her for the rest of her life. When I moved, and went to transport her to her new home, she panicked and obviously thought I was going to drop her off the balcony, again. No animal should ever have to live with that kind of terror and pain. And the people that cause such terror and pain should be eliminated from the gene pool.

  3. Whether kid or adult, if you do a crime you should be charged. These kids knew what they were doing, this probably isn’t the first time these kids did something like this or attempted to do to an animal or animals.

  4. These repulsive, scumbags must have the death penalty implemented and nothing less. These deranged scumbags must endure a slow and agonising death!!! Lets turn these bastards into meat!!!!!!!! Prison is not appropriate for them.

  5. Make an example out of these horrible future murders! Prison time no question! Animal abuse/cruelty is never ok!
Life ban from be around animals period!! These sick teens must pay for there disgusting actions!

  6. Make sure these “kids” and “family” are not allowed animals in their home or allowed to adopt any animals – ever!!! These people are animal killers!!!

  7. Gabriela Torres says:

    Dear District Attorney Manlove,

This is not a case of ‘ANIMAL MISTREATMENT’ the fact that they were about to throw the cat down the balcony for a second time denotes they are born killers – they don’t deserve compassion but to be thrown in jail for a good while.
Compulsory military service should be re-instated to prevent bums, psychos and street gang members from doing evil.
    Thank you!

  8. These minors need to be charged, as well as their parents, and they never need to be allowed to have an animal in their house- they horrible!

  9. As the saying goes, Nits grow up to be
lice. So before they grow up see that they are severely punished Make the parents (if they have any) pay for the cats medical and all costs related to the animals recovery.
