Don’t Let Abandoned Pet Shops Become Agents of Death

Target: Sh. Suresh Chandra, Director of Prosecution for Delhi, India

Goal: Punish pet shop owners and employees who abandoned rescue animals without care.

Several animals rescued from a bleak fate were left to an even worse fate within India. Authorities have discovered scores of hungry, abandoned rescue animals at multiple pet shops across Delhi. Many more at-risk animals could still be endangered in the city’s abundance of unregistered pet shops.

The Animal Welfare Board of India initially alerted officials to the widespread crisis of abandoned animals. After local police and the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals investigated, they found many forsaken animals in at least 20 pet shops. While all of the animals were fortunately saved, it is unclear if the cruel individuals who left them to die will even face punishment.

Sign the petition below to demand justice and continued salvation for these survivors.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Director Chandra,

An estimated 300 pet shops populate Delhi. To date, officers have already discovered multiple abandoned rescue animals in 20 of these locales. The animal husbandry department has enlisted the Delhi Police’s aid in searching the rest of the shops and saving more vulnerable animals.

You must hold each of the individuals responsible for protecting and safeguarding these animals accountable for their negligence. Such cruelty cannot go unpunished or it will only persist and worsen. In these difficult times, the welfare of no living being can be taken for granted.

Sincerely,

  1. LIFE IN PRISON without parole since leaving the dogs and other pets to starve equals multiple counts of attempted murder.

    • It does but, torture & Street Justice before hanging In remote woods to perish would save taxpayers money

  2. What the hell is wrong with these people? How could anyone in good conscience leave these caged, innocent animals to die with no regard for their life? That is beyond despicable. These pet shop owners should be held accountable for their actions. While these dirt bags are home praying to their buddha, the animals in their care are dying. Maybe it’s time these POSs meet their maker. Disgusting, sickening, and infuriating.

  3. The pet shop owners need to be starved to death
