Stop Exploitation of Big Cats for Wildlife Selfies

Target: Mitch McConnell, United States Senate Majority Leader

Goal: Outlaw the exploitation of tigers and other big cats for profit.

Across the United States, big cats are being exploited and improperly cared for by thoughtless “owners.” Tigers and other big cats require extra space and a special diet when kept in captivity, but none of this is being provided. Instead, the cats are forced to live in deplorable conditions with little to no space to move about while people invade their space and take selfies with them.

The trend of wildlife selfies has been on the rise in the past several years, with several different species being exploited by tourists and passerbys for social media views. The exploitation of big cats is especially dangerous, not just to the animals but for the humans who harass them. People have been injured or even killed by these animals, who lash out in self-defense. Furthermore, the people who capture and keep these animals are not equipped to properly care for them.

These cats deserve better than to be treated as objects, forced into inadequate surroundings so humans can harass them. Sign this petition to put an end to the exploitation of big cats.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Senator McConnell,

Tigers and other big wildcats are being exploited, kept in captivity by those who are not properly equipped to care for them. Big cats need a special diet and plenty of space to exercise, but they are instead kept in cramped cages and deplorable conditions while their “owners” allow people to invade their space and take selfies with them.

This is not only cruel to the cats, but dangerous to the humans who harass them. The cats lash out in self-defense, injure or kill people, and are put down as punishment. People have been exploiting wildlife for selfies for far too long, with big cats being among the chief targets, and their owners fail to realize that these are not regular house cats. You must outlaw the capture and keeping of big cats by people who cannot properly care for them.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Big cats are not ours to exploit for any reason. They are wild animals and belong in the wild, not caged up to use as entertainment!

  2. Stella Waldvogel says:

I hope the big cats eat them.

  3. Mitch McConnell, United States Senate Majority Leader

Please outlaw the exploitation of tigers and other big cats for profit.

Stop the unimaginable atrocities committed against the precious tigers and other big cats.
