Disabled Dog Abducted and Found Dead Deserves Justice

Target: Michael J. Satz, State Attorney for Broward County, Florida

Goal: Prosecute and punish person who stole a car with a disabled dog inside, leading to the animal’s death.

A beloved disabled dog was abducted and found dead in a shocking case of animal cruelty. A suspect, Jephthe Jean Francois, has recently been taken into custody and faces fifteen criminal charges. Demand that he receive a just punishment if found guilty.

“You try to hold out. She was a special girl.” Wanda Ferrari, Zorra’s owner, cried as she shared the devastating news of her dog’s death in a Facebook video. The husky mix, whose back legs are paralyzed, disappeared nearly a week ago when Ferrari’s car was stolen from a store parking lot with the dog still inside. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office, along with animal rescuers, searched for the animal, who serves as comfort to her owner who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Ferrari’s car was eventually located in a tow yard and Zorra was found dead inside.

Sign below and demand that the suspect in the case of Zorra’s death be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Satz,

A disabled dog was taken by car thieves and later found dead, leaving her ill owner in tears. Zorra, a husky mix, disappeared when Wanda Ferrari’s car was stolen from a store parking lot. An extensive search by law enforcement and local rescue groups ended just days later, when she was discovered dead inside of the recovered vehicle. Though her cause of death is currently unreported, the rescue group’s Facebook post suggests that she died painfully. Zorra was paralyzed in her back legs and used a wheelchair to get around, so she was vulnerable to whatever cruelty might have been directed her way.

Ferrari shared her devastation on social media and asked that justice be served for her beloved comfort animal. I ask the same and demand that the suspect, Jephthe Jean Francois, be punished the fullest extent of the law if found guilty.

Sincerely,

Dear Michael J. Satz, State Attorney for Broward County, Florida There is a lot of animal abuse in Broward County. Please, please send a message that you will not tolerate this sick behavior.

  2. This guy is a sicko!! He killed one of Gods creatures. What would he have done if a child was in the car? He should be locked up so he cant hurt another animal or a human. That poor doggie was so terrified. Plus paralyzed. Just so wrong!! Rest in peace sweet Zorra you did nothing wrong!

  3. I wish I could shoot the cunt who did this to that poor baby. Make no mistake. The shit will have to answer to Karma.

This horrific torture and killing of animals will continue because the laws are not harsh enough to deter these brainless, heartless, cruel, evil, pieces of crap that exist in our societies. It’s heart wrenching that sweet, innocent, defenseless animals have to be the brunt of these useless pyschopaths. It’s obvious fines, probation and community service is nothing to these sub-humans and more drastic measures need to be taken. Nowadays animals are in constant danger of the sick humans who take advantage of them simply because they can, knowing the law doesn’t take crimes against animals seriously and doesn’t consider them important. These offenders need to be treated as cruel as they treat their victims. Amputate an arm when they committ a cruel and deadly act upon an animal. If they can dish out cruelty, they should have to take it as well. I guarantee you, knowing the treatment they will receive for their crimes, these brainless twits will think.twice about doing a cruel act again. Ways that will deter people, the laws don’t want to do. They think a fine and probation solves everything. The compassionate, loving humans of this world have to speak up, rise up and start doing more for these sweet, sentient beings. Anyone who has a pet knows how important their lives are and that their lives matter just as much as humans. My heart cries for these sweet babies whose lives are at the mercy of inhumane fools with no help from the laws.

  5. Thank God for The PACT ACT which President Trump signed into Law November 2019 which makes it a Federal CRIME to abuse ANY ANIMAL. It is punishable by imprisonment. There are many inmates that do not take kindly to anyone who abuses a child or an animal. Proverbs 12:10
