Kittens Reportedly Thrown Into Pond Deserve Justice

Target: Jonathon Liberman, District Attorney for Sagadahoc County, Maine

Goal: Punish the woman who allegedly threw two distressed and starving kittens into a pond multiple times.

Two kittens were allegedly thrown into a pond repeatedly in a sad case of animal cruelty. The suspect was intoxicated at the time, per police, and her actions towards the kittens were aggressive. Demand justice for these innocent kittens.

Bystanders contacted Phippsburg police with reports of animal cruelty after they witnessed 51-year-old Justine Lovig allegedly tossing two kittens into a pond over and over again. Witnesses claimed that Lovig dragged the kittens up to the water by their leashes and then threw them in, lifting one of them by the tail. Lovig also reportedly forced the distressed kittens to walk over hot concrete. The kittens were thin, police stated, and they likely had not eaten in a long time.

The Coastal Humane Society took custody of the kittens, and they are doing well. Police arrested Lovig on charges of animal cruelty, and she will be arraigned at a later date. Sign below and demand that Lovig receive the maximum penalty possible, if convicted.

Dear District Attorney Liberman,

Two kittens nearly drowned when they were reportedly thrown into a pond by an intoxicated woman. Per police, the kittens appeared thin, and they likely had not eaten in a long time. We demand justice for these poor kittens.

Phippsburg police responded to a public swimming hole following reports of kittens being thrown into the pond. When they arrived, they reportedly found Justine Lovig emerging from the water with two wet and distressed Bengal kittens. The kittens appeared thin, officers stated, and they ate a sandwich so quickly that it appeared they hadn’t eaten in a long time. Witnesses stated that Lovig also dragged the kittens over hot concrete by a leash and held one of them by the tail. The Coastal Humane Society took custody of the kittens. Lovig has been charged with animal cruelty and will be arraigned at a later date.

This alleged abuse must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
