Pit Bull Reportedly Found Locked in Crate and Too Weak to Walk Deserves Justice

Target: Tracy Graham Lawson, District Attorney for Clayton County, Georgia

Goal: Demand that the woman who allegedly starved and neglected a pit bull receives the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

A pit bull suffered life-threatening malnourishment when he was allegedly starved and neglected. The poor dog was so emaciated, veterinarians stated, that he could not even stand up on his own. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

“This is the worst abuse I’ve ever seen,” said Cinnamon Koch, a rescue worker. A good Samaritan rescued Mikey, a gray pit bull, after he found him locked in a crate in the breezeway of an apartment building. Mikey’s ribs reportedly showed through his skin and he was so malnourished that he could not even stand. Records show that Mikey’s owner, Jakeisha Tilley, had previously received two citations from authorities after Mikey was found on her patio without access to food or water.

Clayton Animal Control took custody of Mikey and he is recovering. Tilley has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty and she remains in jail. Sign below and demand that Tilley receives the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Lawson,

A pit bull was reportedly starved almost to death in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The dog’s ribs showed through his skin, veterinarians stated, and he was too weak to stand. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

Police charged Jakeisha Tilley with aggravated animal cruelty after she allegedly starved and neglected her dog. Mikey, a gray pit bull, was reportedly rescued by a maintenance worker who found him locked in a crate outside of his apartment building. Mikey suffered malnourishment so severe that he could not stand or walk on his own, veterinarians stated, and his ribs showed through his skin. Mikey is recovering thanks to the help of Clayton County Animal Control. Tilley remains in jail awaiting her hearing.

The person who caused this poor dog so much suffering must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. THERE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN A FIRST CITATION, LET ALONE TWO. THIS POOR ANIMAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THAT HELL HOLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE BITCH SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN PRISON. SHE SHOULD BE STARVED SO BADLY SO THAT SHE COULDN’T WALK.

  2. District Attorney Lawson, Tilly should be prosecuted and given Maximum Penalty! No Excuses. This monster should be punished!

  3. Gabriela Torres says:

    Dear District Attorney Lawson,
Jakeisha Tilley does not deserve to be free, I hope you send her to jail for a good number of years, she is sick and should be in a mental institution after she finishes her jail term.
I don’t understand why she was given two citations: the dog should have been taken away from her right away.
