Dog Reportedly Maimed and Stuffed into Garbage Bag Deserves Justice

Target: Dan E. Armstrong, District Attorney for Hamblen County, Tennessee

Goal: Demand that the couple who allegedly seriously injured their dog and then denied the poor animal veterinary care receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

A dog was allegedly horribly maimed and then stuffed into a garbage bag in a gruesome case of animal cruelty. The poor animal reportedly suffered multiple broken bones and burns. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

A Hamblen County Humane Society animal-control officer arrived at Joshua and Melissa Coffey’s home after he received a call about a dead dog on the premises. The officer entered a back room, where he reportedly found the seriously injured dog wrapped in a garbage bag and still breathing. A thorough exam showed that the dog suffered multiple broken bones and burns. Mr. Coffey claimed that his wife had injured the dog and that they planned to bring the suffering animal in for treatment the next morning.

The dog’s current condition is unreported. The Coffeys were arrested and charged with animal cruelty. Their bond has been set at $6,000. Sign below and demand that the Coffeys receive the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

Dear District Attorney Armstrong,

A dog was reportedly seriously injured and then left in a garbage bag to suffer. Per officers, the dog had multiple broken bones and burns. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

Animal Control officers charged Joshua and Melissa Coffey with animal cruelty after they allegedly hurt their dog and then denied the suffering animal veterinary care. Officers were originally called to the home with the belief that the dog had died. Instead, they reportedly found the dog breathing and in terrible agony. Per officers, the dog suffered multiple broken bones and burns at the hands of Mrs. Coffey and was then stuffed into a garbage bag. The dog’s current condition is unreported. The officer arrested the Coffey’s and they are being held on a $6,000 bond.

The people who hurt this poor dog must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

How about we beat the hell out of these two sick sadistic monsters and then stuff them into a garbage bag. That sounds very fair to me. Better lock these two up forever. Would anyone want to live next door to scum like this? I pray for this poor dog, this is beyond sad. How he or she must have suffered before dying. Karma is a bitch ass#$@&*.

  2. Linda Hilty-Tuttle says:

  3. The punishment must fit the crime. No more slaps on the wrist for subhumans who feel it’s their right to beat a helpless animal until it’s unconscious. The excuses from those who perpetrate such horrific cruelty and abuse on those who are unable to fend for themselves is pathetic. They must be imprisoned for a long time and be forced to pay a hefty fine plus veterinary bills for the dog they so seriously abused and tortured into submission.

  4. Heavy fine, long prison time, and forever ban for any animal or pets!

  5. Very sick bastards

  6. they should be monitored so that they never have a child or look after any one elses. this should go on their work record so that they are limited as to what work they can do so that the elderly and children not to mention any animals are never looked after by either of these two as if you can hurt an animal espcially as seriously as this then they are capable of anything
    nasty violect vicious heartless thugs

  7. What in hell is wrong with these people “?” Oh excuse me, I meant DEMONS.

  8. I a. planning to move to Tennessee in the next few months. I surely hope the prosecutors and judges are humane and decent folks and give rightful justice to these morons. I’d really like to see an eye for eye sentence,
