Punish Person Who Allegedly Bred and Trained Eleven Pit Bulls for Dog Fighting

Target: David Leyton, Prosecuting Attorney for Genesee County, Michigan

Goal: Demand that the person who allegedly neglected 11 pit bulls and trained them for dog fighting receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

Eleven pit bulls were allegedly neglected and trained for dog fighting in a sad case of animal cruelty. The dogs reportedly suffered from malnutrition, dehydration, and other dog fight-related injuries. Demand justice for these poor dogs.

Deputies with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department searched two local houses after they received a tip concerning dog fighting. Inside of the feces-ridden homes, they reportedly found 11 pit bulls chained up with no access to food or water. The homes had no electricity, deputies stated, and dog fighting paraphernalia and drugs were found on the premises. The investigation reportedly showed that the suspect, who currently remains anonymous, bred the dogs for dog fighting and transported them to different locations in the trunks of their cars. Deputies arrested the suspect after they attempted to retrieve the seized dogs from animal control.

The suspect was charged with 17 counts of criminal charges including animal cruelty, fighting, and abandonment. Sign below and demand that the person responsible receive the maximum penalty possible by law.
