Two Dogs Dead Due to Alleged Starvation and Neglect Deserve Justice

Target: Vincent Guest, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Cross County, Arkansas

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly starved and neglected two dogs, leading to their deaths, receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

Two dogs died, and another suffered, when they were allegedly starved and neglected. The surviving dog reportedly suffered from severe malnutrition and had no access to food or water. Demand justice for these innocent dogs.

Animal control officers visited Eddie A. Wright’s home after they received reports of a dead dog on the property. In the backyard, they reportedly found a live dog trapped in a pen with no access to food or water. Per officers, the dog appeared unhealthy, and she was so emaciated that her ribs showed through her skin. The decomposing remains of a second dog lay inside of a crate, officers stated, with a chain staking them to the ground. Lastly, officers documented the bone and hair remains of a deceased puppy lying on top of a pile of garbage.

The surviving dog’s condition is unreported. Wright was arrested on suspicion of three felony counts of aggravated cruelty to a dog, cat or equine and two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals. Sign below and demand that Wright receive the maximum penalty possible by law, if convicted.

Dear Prosecuting Attorney Guest,

Two dogs died due to alleged neglect in a shocking case of animal cruelty. A third dog survived, but she reportedly appeared emaciated and had no access to food or water. We demand justice for these poor dogs.

Animal control officers arrested Eddie A. Wright on suspicion of three felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty after two dogs allegedly died in his care. Officers reportedly found the decomposing remains of one dog staked to the ground with a chain. The officers also documented bone and hair remains from a deceased puppy, found atop a pile of garbage. One surviving dog was locked in a pen, officers stated, her ribs showing through her skin. The current condition and location of the surviving dog is unreported.

Anyone who could allow a dog to starve to death is a danger to animals and must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
