Punish Person Who Allegedly Neglected Nearly 100 Animals at Non-Profit Rescue

Target: James C. Backstrom, County Attorney for Dakota County, Minnesota

Goal: Demand that the person who allegedly neglected nearly 100 animals at a non-profit animal rescue, leading to the death of 60, receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

Sixty cats died, and many more animals suffered, when they were allegedly neglected at a non-profit animal rescue. The animals reportedly lived in their own feces and urine. Demand justice for these poor animals.

“That to me would be hell on Earth if I was an animal or a person,” stated Lisa Mason, a concerned neighbor and veterinary technician. Mason assisted officials in cleaning up the non-profit rescue, Minnesota Foster Cats and Kittens, after police received reports of a pig being loose on the property. Further investigation reportedly revealed over 100 animals living amongst garbage, feces, and urine. Starving cats tore open a food bag to feed themselves, investigators stated, and sixty of them had died due to the neglect.

The Humane Society took custody of the surviving animals. The investigation is ongoing, and suspects are being ruled out. Sign below and demand that the person responsible be charged and assigned the maximum penalty possible by law.

Dear County Attorney Backstrom,

Sixty cats died, and 40 more animals suffered, after they were allegedly neglected at a non-profit animal rescue. The animals reportedly lived in filth and had to find their own food to survive. We demand justice for these innocent animals.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after over 100 animals were allegedly neglected at Minnesota Foster Cats and Kittens, a non-profit animal rescue. Investigators reportedly found 60 dead cats on the property. Over 40 animals survived, including five dogs, one rabbit, a hamster and a pig. The animals lived amongst feces and garbage, investigators stated, and the cats had torn open bags of food in order to feed themselves.

The person found responsible for this alleged cruelty must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  1. They tried but they should have realized that were doing more harm than good and should have asked for help. Sad.

  2. Derinda Nilsson says:

If you can’t take care of animals don’t take them in the first place. No reason why these animals had to live in there own urine and feces. This is cruel and laziness. FIND THIS CREEP and PUNISH at the fullest extent and that still won’t be enough. Sick sorry ass creep.
