Punish Teen for Allegedly Throwing Innocent Rabbit by the Ears

Target: Glenn R. Funk, District Attorney General of Metropolitan Nashville & Davidson County, Tennessee

Goal: Seek the maximum penalty under law for a teen who allegedly threw a pet rabbit by his ears.

A shocking video posted to Snapchat appears to show a 17-year-old girl throwing a defenseless rabbit by the ears, after claiming he had scratched her and that she “didn’t like” the animal. Nashville’s  Metro Animal Care and Control is currently investigating the incident, and are not releasing all details of the case due to the suspect’s age. However, age should not be an excuse for abuse, and we must demand justice for this innocent rabbit.

Investigators claim that the girl allegedly has been very forthcoming about what occurred, and has reportedly admitted that she threw the pet rabbit because she was “annoyed” with him after being scratched. According to Sue Baker of Metro Animal Care and Control, “She does this all the time. She’s done this before.” Medical documentation also appears to show evidence that this poor rabbit had sustained prior injury.

Cruelty to animals, especially when carried out by young people, is often a warning sign that later violent behavior may occur. Please add your signature to the petition below to demand that this teenage girl receive the maximum penalty possible under law.

Dear Mr. Funk,

A video posted to Snapchat allegedly shows a teenage girl swinging a pet rabbit by the ears and tossing him as a cruel form of ‘punishment.’ Metro Animal Care and Control in Nashville is currently investigating this incident, but it is likely that this shocking act will go unpunished due to the suspect’s young age.

Investigators have suggested that this disturbing case of animal abuse was not an isolated incident, but part of a larger pattern of sadistic behavior allegedly carried out by the unidentified 17-year-old. This type of cruelty is very often a warning sign that may predict future violent behavior. That is why we, the undersigned, are urging you to prevent further possible harm and ask that you seek the maximum possible penalty for the girl who allegedly tormented this innocent and defenseless creature.

  1. Linda Hilty-Tuttle says:

This teenage girl needs (at the least) to be picked up by her hair and thrown around the room, so she can experience some of what that poor bunny felt!!!

  2. Derinda Nilsson says:

The real thing this girl needs is to be put into a mental facility and then be pick up by the ears and thrown around the room. Another psycho in the making. Sick bitch. Lock her up.

  4. cherie ethier says:

little bitch needs her ass kicked now and tomorrow and the next day, pick her up by her legs and slam her into a concrete wall.

  5. lynn woods says:

this is one cruel bitch I hope the rabbit was taken away from her and she’s not allowed any other animals she’s done this before why wasn’t she punished then and not be let away with it throw the bitch up against the wall by her hair and see how she likes it she needs to read the e-mails we send in maybe it’ll penetrate her small brain of what people think of animal abusers

    • I agree she needs to be punished & counseled but so her parents. You know she didn’t turn out this way without the parents being abusive. Her anger at them may be the bottom line cause.

  6. Little dumb s*** needs an ass whooping!

  7. Please ban her from ever owning animals again

  8. Her reactions indicate that most probably she would be capable of doing ‘worse’ things later on …

  9. Karen Mckay says:

Brat needs locking up for a long time until it learns to be socially acceptable. Wheres the parents in all this???

  10. Excellent, what a web site it is! This blog gives helpful information to us,
    keep it up.
