Eleven Animals Allegedly Starved, Neglected, and Kept in Filthy Pens Deserve Justice

Target: Stephen K. Cornwell Jr., District Attorney for Broome County, New York

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly kept eleven animals in dirty pens with no access to clean water or food receive the maximum penalty by law.

Eleven animals were allegedly starved and neglected in a gruesome case of animal cruelty. The animals reportedly lived in small dirty pens, some outside, and had no access to food or clean water. Demand justice for these innocent animals.

Investigators with the Broome County Sheriff’s Office searched John Elmer’s property after they received reports of neglected animals. Eleven animals, including two sick cats and four emaciated sheep, were reportedly found living in small dirty pens. Four caged foxes lived in the backyard with no drinkable water, investigators stated, and a donkey suffered from a contagious untreated skin disease. Per reports, two dead goats were also found on the property, and they’d likely been dead for many months.

The surviving animals are receiving medical treatment. Investigators charged Elmer with seven counts of failure to provide proper sustenance to animals and two counts of failure to provide proper food, drink, and wholesome air to an impounded animal. Sign below and demand that Elmer receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear District Attorney Cornwell,

Eleven animals suffered and two died when they were allegedly starved and neglected. The animals reportedly lived in small dirty pens and had no access to clean water or food. We demand justice for these poor animals.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office charged John Elmer with nine counts of animal cruelty after he allegedly starved and neglected animals on his property. The animals, including a donkey with a contagious skin disease and an emaciated fox, reportedly lived in filthy cages and suffered from various untreated ailments. Two cats tested positive for hookworm, investigators stated, and a sheep went blind due to an untreated eye infection. Two dead goats were also reportedly found on the property. The surviving animals are receiving treatment. Elmer will face his charges at a later date.

This horrific neglect must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

This lowlife scum bag needs to remain in jail forever. There’s nothing more disgusting and heartless then this bastard treating animals like their trash and making them suffer. Burn in hell you scum of the earth.

  2. john elmer is a fucking piece of shit whose punishment SHOULD BE IMPRISONMENT, STARVATION, UNTIL HIS MAGGOTY FLESH FALLS OFF HIS BONES!!!! Toss the filthy carcass into the trash where it belongs!!!

  3. dreadful and inexcusable. Did no-one know this was going on? This low life is either mentally deficient, in which case someone would have known about it, or a rotten subhuman capable of cruel and calculating suffering to helpless creatures he deliberately caged and neglected. There are far too many cases of this kind and it is time the law clamped down on them. Make an example of this insult to men and warn other mindless cretins you have around.

  4. lynn woods says:

this is disgusting I hope these inhuman bastards get punished greatly it’s about time animals were looked after and the abusers get full punishment for what they do to animsl

  5. We need to punish offenders with real punishment, we need stronger animal abuse laws and we need to send a message across the country that this is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. So, full legally allowed punishment, banned from any animal ownership and counseling – to let animals live like this requires a sick mind.

  6. É bem difícil achar pessoas falando com tanta opinião sobre isto, no entanto parece que tu entende do que esta dizendo.

  7. Yes, real punishment for real crimes. The article says Elmer will serve his sentence at a later time. WHY?? Maybe til the animals are fit to become evidence against him. Oh, the long and mind-boggling slowness. Sounds like a complete revamp of our courts and laws must be made NOW, lest millions more voiceless innocents will continue to suffer and die.

  8. Pat Williams says:

Unbelievable… these innocent animals have been punished by this slime bag, Now it’s his turn! Prosecute! Large Fines for their medical care. Jail time! And when this POS gets out, Make Sure he Never gets near another animal of any kind ever again.
