Praise Officers for Saving Dog Tied to Railroad Tracks

Target: Senior Sergeant R. Mills

Goal: Thank Sergeant Mills and his squad for rescuing Cabela from her abusive owners.

Two teenage boys shot their dog several times and then tied her to railroad tracks. She was purchased as a puppy with the intent of forcing her to fight other dogs, but when her temperament proved to be sweet, they tried to kill her. Instead, Senior Sergeant Mills and his squad rescued this poor dog from her fate. Please sign this petition and thank the police officers involved in saving the dog.

Hollinger shot Cabela in her shoulder. Later Cabela tried to escape and return to her previous owner, but the boys found her. They tied her to the train tracks and then shot her several times. An X-ray showed the poor dog with a severe fracture in one of her legs. Cabela was found on the railroad tracks by Senior Sergeant R. Mills and his squad. A picture on Facebook shows the sergeant with Cabela muzzled and covered in her own blood.

Her original owners got Cabela for dog fighting. When she didn’t perform to her owners’ expectations, they hired Callaway and Hollinger to shoot Cabela. The two teenagers plus the original owners were arrested. All are expected to be tried as adults in the court of law. Fortunately, Cabela is recovering, and many have sent donations and wishes for her fast recovery.

Her rescue wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Senior Sergeant R. Mills and his squad. Please sign this petition and thank those that were involved in saving this dog’s life.

Dear Senior Sergeant R. Mills,

Recently, your police department rescued Cabela, an injured and scared dog who was left to die on railroad tracks. The story of her rescue and the subsequent arrests have resulted in an outpouring of well-wishers and donations. This dog was sold to her previous owners to be used in dog fighting, and it saddens me that any human being would take pleasure or enjoyment from an animal suffering.

I am writing this letter to thank you and your department for rescuing Cabela. It is amazing that she has not died from her injuries, and I hope that she will swiftly recover. I am sure that there are many people out there who are willing to adopt this sweet and gentle girl.

  1. we need more kind compassionate hearts like you on the force too many of your colleagues do the wrong thing i hope you continue to be kind to animals and make a difference with the others who don’t

  2. Candi Derderian says:

you two officdrs have restored my faith in human beings.. I wonder how many other animals these three assholes have tortured.
throw the book at them, lock the door and throw away the key.
these SUBHUMANS will not be contributing anything to this world

  3. lCharlsid Lyon says:

Thank you Officers. My brother is a law enforcement officer and he would gladly put these future killers in jail and testify against them. I hope they get everything the law will allow and develop a conscience that will be with them for life. It’s clear that they don’t have one now.

  4. Thank you officers. You are truly a model example of kindness and wisdom. As you well know these kids are well on their way to developing criminal minds and need to be institutionalized for rehabilitation. And as for the original owners who paid the boys to kill her, they should be not only charged with animal abuse. Isn’t there a law about their hiring the boys for the killing?
God is surely smiling down on y’all for your act of kindness.

  5. Thank you so very much. I wish I was in a position to stop this kind sick behavior.
