Punish Man Who Allegedly Abandoned 70 Horses to Die in the Snow

Target: Viktor Yanev, Governor of Kyustendil Province, Bulgaria

Goal: Ensure that the man who allegedly left 70 horses to die on the snow-covered Osogovska Mountain is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Tragically, 70 horses were discovered dead or dying after allegedly being abandoned for months on a high mountain peak, in five feet of snow, without food or shelter. Their owner and the man allegedly responsible for this cruelty according to several sources is businessman Petar Pishtalov, from the town of Kyustendil, Bulgaria. He reportedly received government funding for the horses—140 euros per horse. When the animals were finally found, 40 of them were already dead. The rest were left fighting for their lives in an unimaginable state. They were reported to be buried in the snow, eyes pecked out by birds of prey, and unable to even chew the food brought by rescuers.

Pishtalov reportedly calls the place where the horses were found “The Valley of Death,” though he denies leaving the animals there and instead blames the people who were supposed to work for him. There is an Animal Protection Act in Bulgaria with a maximum penalty of three years in prison. However, the local courts have a history of being extremely lenient with these crimes, which only encourages this kind of brutality and neglect to continue. Sign below to demand justice for these horses and maximum punishment for the man allegedly responsible.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Governor Yanev,

The discovery of 70 horses on the snow-covered Osogovska Mountain, allegedly left for dead for months without food or shelter, is a terrible crime that must not go unpunished. Of these 70 horses, 40 were found already dead. The remaining animals were barely alive when they were rescued—they were allegedly found in five feet of snow with their eyes pecked out by birds, too weak to even chew the food rescuers brought for them.

Reportedly, their owner Petar Pishtalov was receiving government funding for these horses, and yet they were left to die brutally and painfully from starvation and cold. This is a clear violation of Bulgaria’s Animal Protection Act, and justice must be done. I urge you to ensure that the man allegedly responsible for such cruelty receives the maximum penalty of three years imprisonment for this inhumane crime.

Sincerely,

  1. HELL AWAITS PETER PISHTALOV.

  2. This sadistic psychopath, Peter Pishtalov, should be charged with 70 counts of severe animal cruelty and imprisoned one year for each horse he harmed–70 years behind bars.
This monster has no respect for life or the immense suffering of living beings who experience physical and emotional pain–similar to humans. Horses are gentle, fragile and friendly animals (when treated kindly).
Pistalov is a wastrel, evil, brutal and barbaric. He deserves nothing but the most severe punishment!

  3. There is a special place in hell for this degraded example of human excrement.

  4. No, not 70yrs. The punishment for animal cruelty is 3yrs per count. So, according to my math it’s 210yrs. Hmm, that should be sufficient!! And make sure that he does his sentence in 5ft of snow like those he sentenced to death. Fair enough?!?

  5. THIS SINFUL MORON MUST DUMN HIM IN JAIL WITH NO FOOD N WATER TILL HE DIE OF ALL HIS SINFUL KILLING OF LOVELY HORSES!!! SUCH AN EVIL MORON!! GOD IS WATCHING!!

  6. Agree all comments get these cunts put them out in snow to fucken die.

  7. Jacqueline Adams says:

    Pure evil.

    Governor;

70 Horses x 3 years is 210 years in prison. Not enough.
