Kittens Found With Ruptured Eyes Deserve Justice

Target: Anthony D. Gulluni, District Attorney for Hampden County, Massachusetts

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly neglected to provide veterinary care to his kittens, resulting in their eyeballs rupturing, receives the maximum penalty by law.

Three kittens suffered ruptured eyeballs when they were allegedly denied veterinary care. The suspect, who was previously accused of animal cruelty in a separate incident, told police that the kittens sometimes poke each other’s eyes out while nursing. Demand justice for these innocent kittens.

The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals visited Russell H. Corby’s home as a condition of his alleged involvement in a previous animal cruelty case. Inside, they reportedly found five kittens, along with adult cats, suffering from various untreated ailments. The cats, per investigators, had respiratory infections and the kittens’ eyeballs had ruptured. A thorough examination showed that the painful condition was caused by untreated corneal ulcers, which are commonly treated with antibiotics and pain medication.

The kittens and cats were removed from Corby’s home. Investigators charged Corby with an additional three counts of cruelty to animals. He has been released on his own recognizance. Sign below to demand that Corby receives the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Gulluni,

Three kittens reportedly lost their eyeballs in a gruesome case of animal cruelty. Per police, the suspect was already on probation for his alleged involvement in a previous animal cruelty case. We demand justice for these poor kittens.

The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals charged Russell H. Corby with three counts of cruelty to animals after he allegedly denied necessary veterinary care to his cats and kittens. Per investigators, the cats suffered from untreated respiratory ailments and the kittens’ eyeballs ruptured due to untreated corneal ulcers. This horrific condition could have been easily prevented, veterinarians stated, with antibiotics and pain medication. The kittens were removed from Corby’s home. Corby was released on his own recognizance and will answer his charges at a later date.

This man is clearly a danger to animals and must be punished. We demand that you ban him from ever owning animals again and seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. OMG………….THIS guy is a real vile and evil monster and must be treated as such. He must be severely punished and that doesn’t mean a slap on the wrist.JAIN HIM, FINE HIM A HUGE AMOUNT, BAN HIM FROM EVER HAVING OR BEING AROUND ANIMALS AND DEMAND HE GETS PSYCHIATRIC HELP AS HE IS MORE THAT SICK.

I hope all the cats and kittens recover and we demand justice for these poor babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. The question is: WHY were these kittens in this man’s care when he was already on probation for his alleged involvement in a previous animal cruelty case???

WHY WAS HE PERMITTED THE CARE OF AN ANIMAL WHEN HE HAD A CONVICTION FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY… THE LAW IS AT FAULT HERE, AS WELL!!

    • I was thinking the exact same, why was this animal abuser allowed to own animals when he was on probation for animal cruelty. Animal abusers should be on a public register and should be monitored and banned from owning animals. Hope the evil monster rots in hell !

  5. Heather HJ says:

Very sad, he needs to be charged. Why do people that abuse animals that have been charged once get to have another pet? There should be an animal registry for convicted abusers. Hope these kittens are ok.

  6. Ellis Toscano says:

People should automatically be disqualified from owning a pet. EVER if they are guilty of abusing one.
