Target: Jan Creamer, President of Animal Defenders International
Goal: Thank compassionate organization for saving abused circus animals and placing them in suitable sanctuaries.
It is illegal to use wild animals in circuses in the country of Peru, but this does not stop some people from operating animal circuses there. In order to give these animals a better life, Animal Defenders International is rescuing them and placing them in reputable sanctuaries where they will be able to live out the rest of their lives in peace.
Animals in circuses live in horrible conditions. They are usually cramped in small crates and are often times starved. Since many illegal circuses in Peru still thrive, Animal Defenders International has made it a main mission to track down these illegal circuses for the purpose of rescuing animals and placing them in new homes. The organization also educates people on why wild animals should not be used in circuses.
Recently, the organization rescued three lionesses and two monkeys from one such circus with the help of authorities. In fact, so far it has rescued 70 animals in total. Sign this petition and thank Jan Creamer — the president of Animal Defenders International– and other members of the organization for rescuing these abused circus animals and finding them new homes where they can live out the rest of their lives in peace. Without this organization’s help these animals likely would have never been found.
Dear President Creamer,
Since many people are still operating illegal circuses in Peru, circus animals are still suffering. Your organization has diligently worked to close these circuses and to rescue many animals from illegal circus owner’s. In addition, your organization has made sure these animals have been given new homes and a better life.
The abuse circus animals suffer is unimaginable to anyone who is against animal cruelty. It is difficult to think about how much these animals suffer by means of being underfed, kept in small cages, and trained to the point of exhaustion. Educating the public about what really goes on in circuses is a major key to stopping the abuse of these beautiful animals.
It is such a relief to know that your organization has successfully rescued 70 animals and that these animals have been placed in proper sanctuaries where they now have room to roam and are able to live out the rest of their lives in peace. On behalf of the animal rights community we would like to thank you for finding these animals the adequate homes they truly deserve. Please know that the animal rights community stands behind you in your efforts and will continue to support you in your goals to rescue abused circus animals and to educate the public on the cruelty that is involved when animals are used in circuses.
