Dogs Allegedly Starved to Death and Stuffed into Trashcans Deserve Justice

Target: Matt Ballard, District Attorney for Craig County, Oklahoma

Goal: Demand that the woman who allegedly neglected over 20 dogs, leading to the death of ten, receives the maximum penalty by law.

Over 20 dogs were allegedly starved and neglected, leading to the death of at least half of them. Eight of the deceased dogs were reportedly stuffed into trashcans. Demand justice for these poor dogs.

The Craig County Sheriff called it the worst animal cruelty case he’d ever seen. Deputies reportedly found ten deceased dogs on the property belonging to Glenn Renay Davidson. Eight of the deceased dogs were stuffed into trashcans, deputies stated, and a dozen surviving dogs allegedly showed signs of prolonged starvation and tick infestation. Investigators described Davidson’s home as filthy, with feces everywhere and an odor so bad that they had to open windows. The dogs reportedly had no access to food or water on the property.

The PAAS shelter took in six of the rescued dogs and they are improving. The others were taken to the local pound because they were too aggressive for the shelter. Deputies charged Davidson with 15 counts of felony animal abuse. Sign below to demand that Davidson receives the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Ballard,

Ten dogs died and many more suffered when they were allegedly starved and neglected. Deputies reportedly found eight of the deceased dogs in trashcans on the property. We demand justice for these innocent dogs.

The Craig County Sheriff’s Office charged Glenn Renay Davidson with 15 counts of felony animal abuse after she allegedly kept over 20 dogs in deplorable conditions. Per deputies, the dogs had no access to food or water on the property and many of them showed signs of prolonged starvation. Feces reportedly covered the inside of the home and the odor was so bad that deputies had to open windows. The PAAS shelter took six of the surviving dogs into their custody. The others were too aggressive and had to be taken to the pound. Davidson was arrested.

This horrific neglect cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. I am horrified by this case but glad that animal abuse is a felony in Oklahoma. I urge prosecuters to AGGRESSIVELY pursue this case and punish Davidson to the MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE FOR ALL 15 FELONY COUNTS.
