Demand Designer Stop Using Orylag Fur

Target: Alfonso Dolce, CEO of Dolce & Gabbana

Goal: Stop Dolce & Gabbana from using Orylag fur on its products.

Orylag is a unique type of fur that comes from genetically modified rabbits and is used by multiple high-end brands including Dolce & Gabbana. Recently, animal activists uncovered what the inside of an Orylag fur farm is like and the findings were horrifying.

Reports and photos reveal rabbits suffering from open wounds, various injuries, dehydration, and malnutrition. All of them were cramped in small, dirty wire cages which are painful on their feet. Their lives are spent in complete darkness and are cut drastically short. Many of the rabbits die before their scheduled slaughter. Those who are still alive are hung by their feet and have their throats slit.

Sign this petition to demand Dolce & Gabbana stop using Orylag fur on its products. Fur is not a necessity and it is time to use the many alternative, cruelty-free fabrics available.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Dolce,

Unfortunately, Dolce & Gabbana continues to use fur on many of its products despite knowing it comes from the bodies of tortured animals. Dolce & Gabbana also utilize a unique type of fur called Orylag which comes from genetically modified rabbits. Animal activists recently released footage from inside an Orylag farm and the findings are worse than you can imagine.

The rabbits trapped at the farm are kept in small, dirty wire cages which are painful on their sensitive feet. Many of the animals were suffering from various ailments including malnutrition, dehydration, and open wounds. About a quarter of the rabbits die before slaughter as the conditions are so bad. Those who are still alive are hung by their feet and have their throats slit.

Please consider ending your use of Orylag fur. Many designers have decided to end the use of all fur including Gucci, Michael Kors, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren and I urge you to join them. There are many alternative, cruelty-free materials available which can be utilized instead.

Sincerely,

FAUX fur is amazing!!! Stupid companies that don’t listen to consumers (except for the Kardashians who promote this horrific abuse!), will hopefully go bankrupt. There is no need for animals for fur anymore!

  5. What a disgusting practice,Dolce & Gabbana should have the morals to do better. Everyday people are choosing to not wear fur, they should do the same! Designer or companies that profits from animal abuse should be ashamed! This really is sad..We cannot even imagine the suffering they go through everyday. Please consider only using FAUX fur. Thank you
