A dog was allegedly abandoned on a porch in frigid weather in an unfortunate case of animal cruelty. The dog reportedly had no access to shelter, food, or water. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

Canandaigua police told Dwayne E. Ettinger to move his dogs to another residence after his apartment was condemned. Only hours later, Ettinger allegedly tied one of the dogs to the porch of the condemned residence and abandoned him without access to shelter, food, or water. King, a one-year-old Rottweiler, reportedly broke his leash and ran to a neighbor’s residence, where he had previously received care. The neighbors contacted police. It is unknown how long King was exposed to the elements before breaking free.

The Humane Society took custody of King and he is now is good health. Ettinger has been charged with animal cruelty with additional charges pending. Sign below and demand that Ettinger receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear District Attorney Tantillo,

A dog was reportedly abandoned outside in frigid temperatures without shelter to protect him from the cold. Per police, the suspect tied the dog to the porch of his condemned apartment after he was told to take all of his dogs to a safer location. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

Canandaigua police charged Dwayne E. Ettinger with animal cruelty after he allegedly abandoned his dog on a porch in 10-degree weather. Per police, Ettinger deliberately disobeyed them by leashing the dog at an unsafe residence with no shelter, food, or water. King, a one-year-old Rottweiler, reportedly broke his makeshift leash and ran to a neighbor’s residence, where he had previously received care. King survived, thanks to the neighbor, and he is recovering at the Humane Society. Ettinger is expected to face this and additional charges in Canandaigua City Court.

This cruelty must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  2. Leave this creitn out in the cold with no food and shelter. Its more than he deserves. GET TOUGHER ON ANIMAL ABUSERS !!!!

  3. Debra Goldstein Lustig says:

Someone should put this heartless piece of shit in a deep freeze and let him suffer the way he allowed this poor dog to suffer. Worthless ass wipe.

  4. Rotties are the most beautiful and loyal animals, in the hands of a loving and responsible owner. Clearly this piece of shit was not and, as such, needs a severe lesson.jail time and a huge fine are appropriate. Let him experience Bubba’s “friendship” in jail ……

  5. Margaret Melnick says:

I note they say the police told him to move his DOGS he abandon this dog what about any other animals he owns. If he abandon 1 he should not be allowed nor is he fit to keep any other animals. All should be taken to a safe place.

  6. Dirty, stinking POS should receive the same treatment. I’m glad the dog was rescued.
