Dog Reportedly Starved and Frozen to Death Deserves Justice

Target: R. Kelly Ormsby, III, Prosecutor for Darke County, Ohio

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly starved a dog and left the poor animal outside in freezing temperatures, leading to the dog’s death, receive the maximum penalty by law.

A dog was allegedly starved and frozen to death in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The suspect reportedly chained the dog outside in freezing temperatures with only an indoor-style wire crate for shelter. Demand justice for this poor dog.

The Darke County Humane Society investigated Robert Frazier’s residence after they received reports of a deceased dog. Investigators reportedly found the dog chained up behind the residence with only an indoor-style wire crate to use as shelter against the cold. According to investigators, the dog was emaciated and appeared to have frozen to death. There was no food or water readily available for the dog, investigators stated.

Investigators removed the dog’s body and ordered a necropsy. Frazier was charged with felony cruelty/neglect and could face up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine. Sign below and demand that Frazier receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecutor Ormsby,

A dog suffered and died painfully when the poor animal was allegedly starved and frozen to death. Per investigators, the dog had no access to food, water, or shelter from the cold. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

  1. Why even have an animal if you’re not going to love and care for it? I wish the punishments would fit the crimes – animals are worth so much more and deserve so much better than they get.

  2. THAT COWARD DID NOT PROVIDE SHELTER FOR THE POOR DOG, HE DELIBERATELY PUT THE DOG IN A WIRED CRATE SO THAT THE POOR ANIMAL COULD NOT LOOK FOR FOOD AND TO MAKE SURE THE DOG LOST THE WEIGHT SO THAT IT WOULD FREEZE TO DEATH. TRASH LIKE THAT COWARD NEED TO BE PUT IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT AND THROW AWAY THE KEY.

  3. A dog is starved and left to freeze to death and the perpetrator may get 1 year in prison?! That dog suffered a long time before it died. That owner should receive a fitting punishment AND an order that he can no longer have any animals.
