Stop Renaissance Festival from Allowing Elephant Rides

Target: Organizers of the Arizona Renaissance Festival

Goal: Stop allowing elephant rides at the Arizona Renaissance Festival.

Unfortunately, the Arizona Renaissance Festival continues to allow elephant rides during its celebrations. Elephants used for rides are typically stolen from the wild, put through a painful training processes, and are then carted around for various fairs. It is time to stop exploiting these majestic animals.

Elephants trapped within the entertainment industry face a variety of hardships. When they are not being forced to carry humans around, they are often chained up and kept in isolation. Some handlers will even starve their elephants to ensure compliance in the future. In addition, bullhooks, tools with sharp metal ends, are commonly used to poke and prod the elephant into submission.

Sign this petition to demand the Arizona Renaissance Festival stop hosting this cruel activity. No animal should be abused for human entertainment.

Dear Organizers of the Arizona Renaissance Festival,

I recently discovered that your renaissance festival still allows elephant rides. The elephants used for rides of often abused, neglected, and exploited. It is time to stop supporting this cruel activity.

The elephants are typically taken from the wild and then put through a horrible training process that uses fear and pain tactics to ensure future compliance. When the animals are not being forced to give rides or are being carted from fair to fair, they are often chained up and isolated. This life is physically and mentally detrimental to these incredibly intelligent and social animals.

Please consider no longer allowing elephant rides at your festival. A few moments of fun for a human is not worth a lifetime of misery for these animals.
