Horses Reportedly Starved to Death Deserve Justice

Target: Amy Weirich, District Attorney for Shelby County, Tennessee

Goal: Demand that the woman who allegedly starved three horses to death receives the maximum penalty by law.

Three horses reportedly starved to death and more suffered in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The horses were so emaciated that their ribs showed through their skin, investigators stated. Demand justice for these poor horses.

“The yard’s all trashed up, the horses didn’t have any hay, they didn’t care about it having water apparently,” stated Ricky Pike of Pike’s Gravedigging Service. Pike was called to Courtney Simpson’s property to retrieve one of her horses after the horse froze to death in a pond. Per Pike, the surviving horses were extremely emaciated and they were so hungry that they ate the bark off of the trees. Pike contacted the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, which investigated and then took the horses into their custody.

The horses were given immediate treatment, but none of them survived. Investigators arrested Simpson and charged her with felony animal cruelty. Sign below to demand that Simpson receives the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Weirich,

Three horses died and many more suffered when they were allegedly starved and neglected. The horses’ ribs and spines reportedly showed through their skin and at least one collapsed due to weakness. We demand justice for these innocent horses.

Investigators with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture charged Courtney Simpson with felony animal cruelty after she allegedly starved three horses to death. Per investigators, the horses had no access to hay or water and they were so hungry that they ate the bark off of the trees. Investigators also found a dead pig on the property and another horse reportedly froze to death in a nearby pond. The horses were treated, but they eventually had to be euthanized due to the extent of their starvation. Investigators arrested Simpson and she is awaiting trial.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. Catherine Jenereaux says:

You can’t tell me her family, friends, neighbours did not know what was going on. They deserve to be charged as well. In my mind they are accomplishes. The system needs to make people accountable for actions they are aware are taking place. If she could not care for these poor innocent horses she should have called the SPCA or Animal Rescue. She deserves the same treatment she afforded these horses.

  2. Everyone involved, aside from the monstrous woman, in the immensely cruel suffering of these poor gentle helpless animals is a threat to all animals and humans. Starving to death is incredibly painful–physically and emotionally!

Sadistic psychopaths encourage the ruination of society. These torturers ALL belong in prison!

  3. How about we just let the PIECE OF FUCKING VILE INBRED SHIT STARVE TO DEATH!!!! But, shackle her to a tree so she or should I say IT can survive on bark off trees!!! I thoroughly despise such filth and think they all should suffer extreme agony before their filthy carcasses are dumped in the TRASH WHERE THEY BELONG!!!!
