Praise Arrest of Animal Rescue Owner Who Stomped Dog to Death

Target: Phoenix Chief of Police, Joseph Yahner

Goal: Thank authorities for arresting an animal rescue owner who stomped on a dog.

A 37-year-old man from Phoenix, Arizona was arrested after investigators said the man kicked and stomped a maltipoo to death after witnessing the dog fighting with another dog. Praise police officers for arresting this violent man and helping to ensure justice for the murdered dog.

Scott William Beadles was arrested on suspected animal cruelty charges after he admitted that he stomped on an injured dog’s skull after it got into a fight with a pit bull. Beadles told the police that he wanted to put the dog “out of its misery” by kicking it in the head. Beadles’ landlord discovered the maltipoo’s carcass in the trashcan.

The case first surfaced after Beadles discussed it with a volunteer at a local pet store. Beadles reportedly told the volunteer that he saw two dogs, a maltipoo (a maltese and poodle mix) and a pit bull in a fight. He said he went in to break up the fight, but by the time he got there, the pit bull had already run away. The maltipoo was left crying and not able to stand by itself. The volunteer told the police that Beadles said the dog tried to crawl over to him and that is when he decided to stomp on its head. An examination of the dog revealed it had multiple skull fractures.

Prior to his arrest, Beadles and his partner had been operating an animal rescue called “Furry Smiles,” which they opened in 2011. Based on this man’s alleged actions, he clearly has no business working with animals. Please sign this petition to support the arrest of Scott Beadles for stomping on a dog to death.

Dear Chief Yahner,

It is unbelievable that an animal rescue owner would have the ability to stomp on a wounded animal to death. However, this was exactly what happened in the case of Scott William Beadles. He reportedly witnessed a fight between a maltipoo and a pit bull and instead of helping the dog get medical help, he took matters into his own hands. No person should be allowed to put an animal out of its misery and dispose of its body in a trashcan.

Thank you for listening to the PetSmart volunteer who brought this case to the Phoenix police department. Without this man’s help, Beadles would still be caring for animals at his animal rescue. No one should get away with treating innocent animals the way he did, particularly an animal rescue worker.
