Justice for 550 Animals Rescued from Las Vegas Home

Target: Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department

Goal: Ensure the homeowner allegedly responsible for keeping hundreds of animals in “deplorable” conditions is brought to justice.

Over 550 animals were found in a Las Vegas home, where they were reportedly living in “deplorable” conditions. Authorities rescued the animals after they answered a call reporting a horse that was wandering the streets unattended. Officers reportedly found and confiscated 13 horses, 150 hens and roosters, 400 pigeons, two guinea pigs, and four turtles.

The owner of the home and the animals has yet to be named. Under Las Vegas law, overcrowding animals or failing to adequately provide for an animals basic needs—such as food, water, shelter, and sanitation—is a misdemeanor offense at the discretion of animal control. A first-time perpetrator may face a fine, up to six months in prison, and financial responsibilities for the animals while they are under the care of animal control. No innocent animals deserve to be confined to inhumane living conditions. Sign below to demand justice for these animals and punishment for the person who allegedly treated them this way.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Sheriff Lombardo,

More than 550 animals were reportedly rescued by the Las Vegas Police and Clark County Animal Control officers from terrible living conditions in a Las Vegas home. It is vital that the owner of the home and of these animals be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for his or her alleged treatment of so many innocent creatures.

The animals rescued included horses, hens, roosters, pigeons, guinea pigs, and turtles, who were reportedly found by authorities living in “deplorable” conditions. Confining animals to spaces that are too small and failing to provide for their basic needs and rights, such as food, water, shelter, and sanitation, are acts that are punishable by law and cannot be allowed to stand. I urge you to ensure justice for these animals, and that the person allegedly responsible is held accountable.

Sincerely,

  1. A misdemeanor! In other states this would be a felony. These people need to be prosecuted and BANNED FROM ALL ANIMAL OWNERSHIP! Pity the animals who have no choice but to live in a state that cares nothing for its animals! PROSECUTE.

  2. A fine and six months in jail? Really? That’s a slap in the face of the helpless animals who suffered so much at this sob’s hands. The death penalty!

  3. Carol Brandt says:

Somehow this does not have the shock factor of somebody beating a puppy to death and hanging her from a tree, or skinning an innocent cat. Yet, extended living in these crowded, filthy conditions are torture as well, and authorities should act quickly and harshly on it.

  4. MAKE NEW LAWS TO DEFEND ANIMALS IN LAS VEGAS FROM THIS NOW.

  5. Dear Sheriff Lombardo,
With regards about the more than 550 animals that were reportedly rescued by the Las Vegas Police and Clark County Animal Control officers from terrible living conditions in a Las Vegas home …
I ask of you to petition that more stringent laws be given to punish those who abuse animals: higher fines, more time in jail and a criminal record — Thank you.

Hope these dumbasses rot in hell❗️😠

I totally agree with you. All animal abusers should be abused and then shot.
Humans are assholes! And there’s way too many of them.
Millions of various kinds of animals are also killed each year, painfully like the way lambs, goats, pigs, chickens, and turkeys are killed by having their throat slit so they have to lay there and suffer in agony while they helplessly bleed to death! For F sake!!
I don’t know how people can do shit like that! No compassion for other beings. They’re sick and shouldn’t exist on earth!
Would be paradise here if they didn’t!!
No pain, no suffering. Human’s suck!

  8. Eye for an eye!! Animal welfare laws are PATHETIC!! We need much stronger laws and much harsher punishment to deter animal abuse. We must ensure those who commit cruelty towards animals face suitably tough punishments. If we do not properly punish these people then as a society we are essentially legitimising abuse against animals.

  9. All these animal abusers and killers must have
    to suffer the same pain
    burns these damn pussies
These whore sons do not deserve life
