Target: Buddy Amato, Chief of Humane Law Enforcement at the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Goal: Shut down the farm that left animals out in the cold without water or proper bedding and ban the owners from ever owning animals in the future.
A New Jersey farm owner and his girlfriend were recently cited for the third time in the past two years for animal cruelty after it was reportedly discovered that they left newborn goats and sheep out in the cold without adequate water or shelter. More than 65 animals were found with their water bowls frozen and covered in snow.
Without water, the mother goats of the newborns weren’t able to properly produce milk for their young, potentially leaving the baby goats malnourished. The animals also didn’t have enough straw and bedding to keep them warm.
The farm owner, Lance Vaccaro, has already been charged in the past for failing to provide proper care for the animals. Mere months after that charge, Vaccaro was again accused of animal cruelty when some of his farm animals were discovered tangled in wires. This new charge is the third time, and it needs to be the final straw.
It is evident that Vaccaro and his girlfriend, Tina Perna, have ignored the responsibility to care for their animals even after going to court and being ordered to do so. By signing this petition, you will help demand that all of the animals be rescued from this abusive farm and that Lance Vaccaro and Tina Perna be banned from ever owning animals in the future.
Dear Chief Amato,
You recently discovered more than 65 baby goats and sheep on a farm where they had inadequate water and bedding. The animals’ water bowls were frozen over and they did not have enough straw in their shelters. This was the third time in two years the owners of this farm have been charged with animal cruelty, and this needs to be the last straw.
The farm owner, Lance Vaccaro, and his girlfriend, Tina Perna, have blatantly ignored their ethical and legal responsibility to care for their animals and have instead been abusive. I urge you to end this animal abuse by shutting down the farm and banning Lance Vaccaro and Tina Perna from ever owning animals again.
