Punish Person Who Shot, Killed and Dumped Three Dogs

Target: Kirk Andrus, District Attorney for Siskiyou County, California

Goal: Demand that the person who shot three dogs to death and then dumped their bodies receives the maximum penalty by law.

Three dogs were shot to death in a shocking case of animal cruelty. Two of the dogs were discovered dead in a creek and the third was found close by. Demand justice for these innocent dogs.

“All three of them appeared to have been shot in the head, probably with a .22 rifle or pistol and all three of them were dumped at the scene,” stated Siskiyou County Sheriff John Lopey. The sheriff’s office and Siskiyou County Animal Control began investigating after they received a call from a rancher who spotted the bodies of two dogs in a creek on his property. Investigators found the third dog’s body in the same area a short time later. All of the dogs were hunting dogs and one appeared to be a bloodhound.

The sheriff’s office is considering this a case of animal abuse and illegal dumping. Suspects have not yet been identified, but the investigation is ongoing. Sign below and demand that the person responsible for this cruelty be charged and receive the maximum penalty by law.

Dear District Attorney Andrus,

Three dogs were killed and then dumped into a creek in a gruesome case of animal cruelty and illegal dumping. The dogs were shot in the head and then left on private property. We demand justice for these poor dogs.

A rancher stumbled upon the carcasses of two dogs while cleaning the creek on his property. The sheriff and Siskiyou County Animal Control began an investigation, during which they recovered the body of another dog a short distance away from the others. All of the dogs had been shot in the head and one was found stuffed into a dog food bag. The dogs were identified as hunting dogs and one is believed the be a bloodhound. Though no suspects have been identified yet, the investigation is ongoing and the sheriff’s office is in possession of evidence which may help in identifying the person responsible.

This cruelty cannot go unpunished. We demand that you charge this person with animal cruelty and assign the maximum penalty in this case.
