Goal: Praise Mr. Ronnie Graves for creating prosthetic limbs for animals
Recently, Ronnie Graves, a Florida man in the prosthetics and orthotics business, was recognized for the life-saving work that he does for animals that are missing limbs. Animals that are usually put down for not being able to walk are given a second chance at life with this advanced medical technology. Although he has 35 years of experience in the prosthetics and orthotics business, it was not until 17 years ago, when he had his first horse patient, that he started focusing on horses as patients for his business. Equine orthotics and prosthetics are becoming increasingly practiced, and have a very positive impact on the survival of injured horses.
This groundbreaking practice has saved many horses from being put down over the years. Especially for racehorses, breaking a leg is a quick end to a horse’s life. Racehorses are very sturdy, but under the wrong circumstances, even these horses sustain life-endangering injuries.
Graves’s work is not confined to his locality, as indicated by the work he did in Africa in which he gave a baby elephant two back-leg braces. Graves believes that animals should be given a chance, even though they are not able to voice their opinions.

Dear Mr. Ronnie Graves,
It was heartening to read about the amazing work that you are doing with animals. You are proving that humans are not the only ones for which prosthetics limbs are applicable, and animals can benefit greatly from this technology as well. Your work has undeniably saved many animals’ lives.
Thank you for the life-saving work you have been doing for animals. Even though the animals are not able to voice their opinions, they are undeniably grateful that you are giving them a chance. Please keep up with the great work you are contributing to society.
