Target: J.B. Munoz School Principal, Maricela Olivarez
Goal: Thank officials for boosting up security at a school after animals were tortured by juveniles.
Several animals were tortured by a small group of juveniles who broke into a school’s animal farm where they raised pigs, goats, and lambs. The school officials at La Villa Independent School District (ISD) in Texas are taking the necessary moves to ensure that another incident does not happen again. Fortunately, none of their students were involved in the incident.
The students discovered the abuse when they went to the farm to feed the animals. A mother of one of the students, who also works with the animals, saw one of the pigs tied up with a rope around its neck. She guessed that the teenagers rode on the pig’s back, which left a lot of visible pain on its body. Goats and lambs were hurt in the incident and one lamb died as a result of the heartless abuse.
School officials have increased security and taken measures to ensure that the students and animals are safe at all times. The school has hired overnight security officers, and members of the community helped track down the juveniles involved and are now figuring out which school district they came from. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) also reached out to the La Villa ISD after it heard about the animal abuse incident and is hoping to help educate students on how to properly care for animals.
Please sign this petition to thank La Villa ISD school officials for increasing security and therefore helping to prevent this kind of heartless abuse from ever happening again.
Dear Principal Maricela Olivarez,
A horrific incident happened at a school’s animal farm in the La Villa Independent School District. Juveniles came in and tortured the animals and killed one lamb. It is difficult to hear that a group of children could commit such terrible crimes against innocent animals.
Thank you for taking the necessary steps to ensure that this type of incident never happens again. I am certain that all of the added security will keep the animals in the farm safe throughout the night. Please continue to keep a close eye on the animals. I also hope that you will allow PETA to come and educate students about how to properly care for these animals.
