Punish Man Who Allegedly Kept Over 60 Cats in Deplorable Conditions

Target: Jessica R. Cooper, County Prosecutor for Oakland County, Michigan

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly hoarded and neglected to care for over 60 cats, leading to the death of some, receive the maximum penalty by law.

Over 60 cats suffered and some died when they were allegedly forced to live in their own filth. The cats were reportedly in poor condition and infested with fleas. Demand justice for these innocent cats.

The Madison Heights Police Department searched Steven Kwasiborski’s property after they received reports of a strong odor coming from the house. Inside, they reportedly found more than 60 cats living in deplorable conditions. Per officials, some of the cats were already dead, and the others suffered from sickness and severe flea infestation. The cats reportedly used the entire house as their litter box, and rescuers had to wear protective gear and masks to even enter the house.

The Madison Heights Animal Shelter took custody of the surviving cats, and they have been treated by a veterinarian. Kwasiborski was charged with felony animal abandoning/cruelty to 10 or more animals and could face up to four years in prison, a $5,000 fine and 500 hours of community service. Sign below and demand that Kwasiborski receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.
