Target: Faith and Hope Sawyer
Goal: Praise twin girls for donating food and supplies to their local animal adoption center
It was a huge surprise to an animal adoption center when two young girls donated more than $300 worth of toys, food, and bedding supplies to the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center in their hometown. Faith and Hope Sawyer, 10-year-old twin sisters from Rancho Cucamonga, California, dropped off all of their gifts to the local animal center hoping that it would help the animals find forever homes. Faith and Hope were able to raise the money by selling homemade baked goods and their lightly used toys.
According to the Daily Bulletin, the girls told news reporters that they wanted the animals to have toys to play with, so that they can look more appealing to families who come by the adoption center. They imagine that if the animals looked livelier, then it might better their chances of getting adopted.
This is not the first time that Faith and Hope have helped the animal center. The first time was near the holiday season when the girls saw that the animal center had a holiday wish list. They were further compelled to help when they saw the animals were sitting in the adoption center waiting for their forever homes with no toys to play with and no soft bedding to rest on. They wanted to make a difference for the animals, so they used all of their money that they saved up to purchase the items on the animal center’s wish list.
Please sign this petition to thank Hope and Faith Sawyer for their generosity.
Dear Faith and Hope Sawyer,
I want to thank you for your recent generous donation to the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center. You were able to raise over $300 to buy toys, foods, and bedding for the animals. This is an amazing gift that will make a world of difference for the animals. Your story is going to inspire so many young people around the world to be just as giving as the two of you. So many animals’ lives at the adoption center will be improved because of your generosity.
I could only hope that there will be more people that will take the time to help their local animal shelters like you have. The goal is to find loving homes for those forgotten and abandoned animals, and your generous efforts have made that goal easier to reach for the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center.
