Dogs Allegedly Starved and Neglected Deserve Justice

Target: Mark D. Stiles, City Attorney for Virginia Beach, Virginia

Goal: Demand that the two people who allegedly neglected and starved four dogs, leading to the death of two, receive the maximum penalty by law.

Two dogs died and two suffered when they were allegedly neglected and starved. The dogs were reportedly so emaciated that their bones showed through their skin. Demand justice for these poor dogs.

Virginia Beach Animal Control officers searched Justin Jones and Stephine Stallworth’s home after they received reports of two dogs in poor condition. They reportedly found two malnourished dogs inside of the home, and one of the dogs was reportedly so ill that the poor animal had to be euthanized. Per officers, an emaciated female boxer was also found outside of the home, and a maintenance man found another very sick dog just next door. That dog was reportedly having difficulty breathing and was ultimately put down due to serious illness.

Animal Control took the surviving dogs into their custody, and those dogs are recovering. Jones and Stallworth were charged with felony animal cruelty. Sign below and demand that they receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear City Attorney Stiles,

Four dogs were allegedly starved and neglected in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The dogs’ bones reportedly showed through their skin, and two of the dogs were so malnourished that they had to be euthanized. We demand justice for these poor dogs.

Virginia Beach Animal Control officers were called to the home belonging to Justin Jones and Stephine Stallworth after deputies reportedly discovered their female boxer emaciated and in extremely poor health. A second malnourished dog, later believed to belong to Jones and Stallworth, was reportedly found gasping for air and near death. Per officers, two more malnourished dogs were found inside of the home. Two of the four dogs reportedly had to be euthanized due to the severity of their illness. The surviving dogs were removed from the home, and Jones and Stallworth were each charged with felony animal cruelty.

This alleged neglect cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
