Target: Owner of Lion Habitat Ranch, Keith Evans

Goal: Stop allowing people to use exotic animals in their personal celebrations

Many couples are now looking to make their weddings stand out by adding exotic animals to their photo shoots and special ceremonies. In fact, exotic animals are becoming the newest craze at many extravagant parties and weddings. Couples who want to be a little different and impress their family and friends are selecting this option at a shocking rate, but several cities are now starting to ban the use of animals for entertainment purposes.

In Cincinnati, Ohio, the Newport Aquarium allows couples to rent out penguins for their nuptials, and in Las Vegas, Nevada, couples can rent out lions and elephants to be part of their ceremony. According to wedding planners, all the couple has to do is pay for transportation, but even that comes at a hefty cost. An elephants costs roughly $10,000 to bring to Las Vegas.

Although couples are drawn to adding animals to their wedding or wedding photos because they want to be different, a lot of cities are starting to ban the new trend. Some areas such as Huntington Beach, California have been banning the use of exotic animals for entertainment purposes since 2002. Other places that have also initiated this ban are Indiana, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and New York.

Please sign this petition to ask animal owners to stop allowing people to include exotic animals in their celebrations.

Dear Mr. Evans,

Couples have continued to add over-the-top demands to their weddings. The Lion Habitat Ranch has been letting people rent out lions for their celebrations. I would like to ask you to stop this practice. Although the reactions to these animals from party guests are interesting, it is wrong to allow animals to be treated this way. They are not meant to wear costumes and walk around in ceremonies, posing in photos for the added excitement of guests.

Numerous cities have banned the use of exotic animals in entertainment settings. As this trend becomes more popular, animal activists are continually trying to get it banned all across the United States. Animals should not be exploited in this manner. Please stop allowing people to rent out your animals to participate in their events.

  1. Surely a good wedding can be had without exploiting animals. What a stupid fucking trend!!!!

  2. What he hell does an elephant have to do with a wedding? Longevity in marital bliss?
