Neglected Dog with Severely Matted Fur and Rotting Teeth Deserves Justice

Target: Peter F. Kilmartin, Attorney General for Providence County, Rhode Island

Goal: Demand that the person who neglected a dog to the point of near death receive the maximum penalty by law.

A dog nearly died when she was horribly neglected. The dog suffered with severely matted fur, rotting teeth, and multiple mammary gland tumors. Demand justice for this poor dog.

“The pain she must have felt is something I can’t bring myself to think about. This case is literally making me sick,” stated Tina Torres of Friends for Central Falls Animals. The shelter took the 18-year-old dog, named Treasure, into their custody after she was found wandering around in a backyard. Treasure’s fur was dangerously matted, and her rotting teeth fell out as she was being cared for by the veterinarian. Treasure also had multiple tumors on her mammary glands, possibly because she was never spayed.

Treasure is recovering in a foster home. The Rhode Island SPCA has offered a $2,000 reward for information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Treasure’s neglect. Sign below and demand that the person responsible be charged with animal cruelty and receive the maximum penalty by law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Kilmartin,

A dog suffered and nearly died when she was severely neglected. The dog’s teeth were so rotten that they fell out of her mouth, and she was covered in thick painful hair matts. We demand justice for this poor dog.

Shocking photos show the horrible state in which Treasure was found. The 18-year-old dog’s teeth fell out of her mouth as veterinarians tried desperately to save her life. She suffered with matts so severe that it was impossible to even see her face, and her mammary glands were full of tumors. Miraculously, Treasure is expected to survive. However, the person responsible for her suffering is still at large.

This neglect cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. The law is blatantly only in use to protect these brutal torturous ignorant cunt fuker abusers. I believe it is time for people to take the law into hand and serve up the justice for all our
TREASURES in this cruel and unjust world where there is little or NO punishment at all for the sadistic mother fukers that live amongst us. Find this fukwit and simply kill him. Guns are a part of the culture there. Do the world a favor and use the guns to rid humanity of these sadistic fucks

    • Totally agree with you Bernadine!
I couldn’t have put it better!

    • How I wish we could. Would see the person who did this face to face. Anyone that could leave a poor dog to suffer to this extreme degree is not fit to breathe the same air as poor Treasure.
      Poor wee thing.

  3. Simon Rimmer says:

Animal cruelty must become a death penalty crime, Now!!!

  4. oh my i agree with the above, it really is time the world did something about all this cruelty, to stop the cowards getting away with it.

  5. Another sick bastard. She is so old and had to suffer like this in her golden years…despicable! Find thescum and punish the low life rubbish!

  6. Mrs. Terrebonne says:

The most basic investigation by law enforcement could find the abuser of this dog. If they aren’t found and criminally punished, they will keep abusing other animals. There may be other animals suffering at their hands right now. This old dog could not have walked 50 feet away from where the owner lived. WHAT is law enforcement doing. I know what they’re NOT doing.

    • I totally agree. With the severe matting of her fur, and her general condition and the pain she was in, there is NO way she could have wandered far from her home. It says that Treasure was found wandering around in a back yard .. that may even have been the owner’s back yard. All law enforcement need to do is some basic investigation that would very likely reveal very quickly who Treasure’s former owner is and then they, obviously, should be prosecuted full for animal abuse and neglect. If the owner is not tracked down the only reason I could think of why that would be is for sheer laziness, apathy and indifference on the part of law enforcement.

  7. This useless to society animal abuser must be identified and given the maximum penalty for the torture of 18 year old Treasure!

  8. There must be real punishment for these abusers of animals…a slap on the wrist just does NOT WORK…..IF WE HAD SEVERE PUNISHMENT FOR ALL THE ABUSERS…THERE WOULD BE ALOT LESS ANIMALS SUFFERING AT THE HANDS OF THESE SICK BASTARDS….ITS TIME FOR REAL PUNISHMENT.THE ABUSE HAS GONE ON FAR TO LONG…

  9. What a piece of shit to do this to this poor old dog! Unless harsher punisment is enforced people will just carry on to abuse & hurt helpless animals!!! Luckily this poor old girlie was found and hopefully she will get to spend her last years in love & comfort with people whom really loves her!!
