PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Babin,

A horse was allegedly neglected and starved in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The horse’s bones reportedly showed through his skin, and he later died due to the severity of his illness. We demand justice for this innocent horse.

When animal control and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office searched Kenneth Corley’s property, they reportedly found a horse in serious need of medical attention. The seven-year-old horse, named Miraj, was reportedly so desperate for food that the poor animal began grazing immediately upon release from the stable. The Humane Society took Miraj to an equine hospital for treatment, where he later died. Corley has been charged with animal cruelty.

This horrific neglect must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  3. Elizabeth Jache says:

Why is that pos being allowed to have food? Starve it to death, so we can feel some small amount of Justice.

  4. Annica Eriksson says:

I never understand why people get animals when they don´t take care of them. This poor horse must have suffered immensely. Why didn´t this moron ask for help or sold the horse to someone who could´ve taken better care for him.
This moron must be punished!!He can´t get away with it.

  5. Rosslyn Osborne says:

I agree with all those posts that there is absolutely no reason what so ever that any animals or child for that matter needs to starve or suffer due to needing medical help! Never ever!
We have things like a tongue in our mouth, some form of brain, most even have a phone, to call for help….
People that do this are psychotic perpetrators that know they are inflicting pain and agony…So punish the to the fullest extent of the Law with the maximum for inflicting pain, agony and death! Please, nothing less.

  6. Wendy Cunningham says:

Hell is too good for person responsible. They should be treated the same way they treated that poor horse!!

  7. We should do the same to him, neglect and starve and repeat if we can.

  8. THIS PUNK DESERVES TO BE TREATED THE SAME WAY, DON’T FEED HIM OR GIVE HIM WATER OR GET HIM MEDICAL ATTENTION WHEN NEEDED!

  9. STARVE HIM TO DEATH SEE HOW HE FEELS.SHOULD BE PERMITS TO OWN ANIMALS
