Justice for Emaciated Puppy With Metal Collar Embedded Into Her Neck

Target: Alonzo Jaynes, Kinston Chief of Police

Goal: Find and severely punish whoever is responsible for leaving starving dog chained up for so long that her collar embedded into her neck.

A six-month-old puppy was chained up to a fence and neglected for so long that her metal collar had become embedded into her neck. The deep wound in her neck had become infected. The poor dog, named Banana by her rescuers, was emaciated and had no food or water. Sherry Tripp, director of the Lenoir County SPCA, said that Banana is severely emaciated and only weighs 23 pounds when she should be closer to 40 pounds.

An investigation is now underway, but there’s been no arrests or charges filed yet. Please add your signature to the petition below to urge authorities to utilize all resources to find the person who did this to Banana and bring them to justice.

Dear Mr. Jaynes,

An emaciated puppy was found chained to a fence. The poor animal had been chained up for so long that her metal collar was embedded into her neck. The wound became infected, causing immense pain to an already starving dog. The neglected puppy was left without food or water.

We, the undersigned, are calling on you to seek justice for this innocent puppy. Please do everything possible to find and severely punish whoever is responsible for this poor puppy’s suffering.

Put a too small pronged collar around this piece of human
garbage and leave him to starve! This would be the ONLY fair and just punishment.

  2. Diana Grimshaw says:

I don’t understand how anyone can do this deliberately
to an animal and cause it such suffering. I agree with
with the only other comment made so far on dealing with punishment for the piece of garbage who did this to this poor puppy.
If only that could be done, that would be appropriate justice
for the cruelty this trashbag forced this innocent animal to endure. CHARGE HIM WITH ANIMAL ABUSE. Enforce your
    Animal Abuse/Cruelty Laws.

  3. all animal abusers need to be fined heavily and given jail time—-only then animal abuse will subside.

  4. This is a cut and dry situation. Lock this poor puppies EX owner for the minimum of 10 yrs. HARD LABOR with NO PAROLE! Give it an angry body building dog lover for a cell mate, and feed the worthless blob of rotten flesh nothing but bread and water 2 times a day – which was a hell of a lot more than they fed the puppy! OR put a bullet in its head. Simple. Case closed

  6. Rose Geringer says:

What, we need a lot or severe punishment for POS that could do anything like this!!! Please let’s get a worldwide website with the names and picture ID of anyone/anything that has done this where anyone giving, selling or adopting out any kind of animal has to look you up here first and if you don’t then you get time in jail also, to me it might help stop a little of the POS.

  7. We must send a message to these abusers, that this will not be tolerated under any circumstances! No excuses! No negotiations! Severe punishment or this will only continue to happen!

  8. Do to the POS what they done to that dog. Put a Metal collar around her neck for years as they are in prison for years on end period. We need much better laws for animals abuse!
