Beloved Seal Shot with Crossbow Deserves Justice

Target: Hayley Firman, Head of Prosecution at the Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, England

Goal: Demand that the person who shot a beloved seal with a crossbow be prosecuted and receive the maximum penalty under law.

A seal suffered when an unidentified assailant shot her with a crossbow. This seal is a protected animal and could be pregnant. Demand justice for this poor seal.

Shocking pictures show Sammy, a beloved gray seal, swimming around with a two-foot arrow embedded in her back. Per authorities, the arrow came from a crossbow somewhere in the area. The RSPCA has voiced concern that Sammy may be carrying a pup and that the arrow could put both Sammy’s and her pup’s health at risk.

Sammy has not yet been captured or examined, but the British Divers Marine Life Rescue is on alert to rescue her the next time she is spotted. The RSPCA is investigating this case and has asked for the community’s help in identifying the person responsible. Sign below and demand that the person who shot Sammy be charged with animal cruelty and receive the maximum penalty under law.

Dear Mr. Firman,

A beloved seal was shot with a crossbow in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The seal survived, but may suffer serious injury if she is not found and treated soon. We demand justice for this innocent seal.

The pictures show Sammy, a gray seal loved by many in the Brixham community, swimming with a two-foot arrow sticking out of her back. Though she appears to be stable at this point, it is possible that Sammy is pregnant and the arrow could endanger both her and her pup. Divers are working hard to find and capture Sammy so that she can receive medical treatment. The person who shot Sammy is still at large and could pose a threat to other animals in the area.

This terrible cruelty must be punished. We demand that you identify and prosecute the person responsible and seek the maximum penalty by law.

I sincerely hope and pray that Sammy is found soon and is able to be medically attended to. As for the abased demented lowlife. I sincerely hope and pray ‘it’ is found sooner rather than later to pay for all the rescue, medical and rehabilitation costs, as well as serve several years in jail!

  5. They took pictures and couldn’t capture her to help her ? As for the scum who did that, shoot an arrow in their ass and let them go sit in a jail cell and think about their actions.

  6. Brian Miller says:

No doubt, whoever it is, they know it. All I know and pray for is that karma will visit this slimy worm. Die, fucking asshole!

I would give him the same treatment so he feels the pain he did to this innocent seal . Hope RSPCA finds her soon to treat her from injury.
