Police: Cat Beaten and Tossed in Dumpster — Demand Justice

Target: Sarah George, Chittenden County State’s Attorney

Goal: Severely punish people responsible for tying a live cat inside of a bag and tossing it in the dumpster.

A kitten was reportedly tied up in a trash bag and tossed in a dumpster where the poor animal wasn’t found for 20 hours. Thankfully, someone heard the kitten’s cries and alerted police. The officer who arrived said the trash bag was moving and they could hear a cat crying. Inside the bag was a shivering, wet kitten. The kitten had also been hit before being thrown away, according to the officers investigating the incident. The animal had to be taken for emergency veterinarian care and was suffering from a broken leg caused by trauma.

Officers investigated the incident and found the owners, a couple living in the apartments where the cat was found in the dumpster. Both 32-year-old Justin Perkins and 35-year-old Kelly Cooney were cited for cruelty to animals. Please add your signature to the petition below to demand that these people are punished to the maximum extent and banned from ever owning animals, if they are found guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. George,

A kitten was reportedly found in a trash bag inside of a dumpster. Someone heard the poor animal’s desperate cries and called authorities. The officers say the bag was moving, and inside was a shivering, wet kitten. They believe the kitten had been tied up for 20 hours.

Disposing of innocent, live animals in this manner has become increasingly common. This is no way to get rid of an unwanted pet and there’s no excuse for this senseless cruelty. We. the undersigned, are calling on you to help stop this animal cruelty. Please see to it that the people responsible are given the maximum sentence possible and a lifetime ban from owning animals.

Sincerely,

Sarah – For those of us who tirelessly sign these Animal Cruelty Petitions on a daily basis, I am asking that you please prosecute Justin Perkins and Kelly Cooney to the fullest extent allowed by Law. Cruelty against the Animal Kingdom must be taken seriously because they are, after all, citizens of this Earth too. Please show the world that Chittenden County will not tolerate animal cruelty. Please!

She and her drug addict boyfriend did it. The evidence is there. These two Psychopathic monsters deserve a whole lot more than what the judge gave them. I hope someone beats the s@!t out of them and ties them in a plastic bag and leave them for dead. They need to take her daughter away so we don’t have another psychopath out there.
