Deputies also reportedly found dog fighting paraphernalia, including treadmills, slate mills, weighted vests and collars, throughout the home.

Clayborne was arrested and charged with felony dog fighting and animal cruelty. The dogs were taken to a local veterinarian to be cared for and examined. Sign below and demand that Clayborne receive the maximum penalty under law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Guest,

Nineteen dogs in your county were reportedly subjected to cruel training methods for dog fighting. The dogs were allegedly forced to wear heavy weights around their necks and were chained to the ground. We demand justice for these poor dogs.

The nineteen Staffordshire terriers found in Anton Jerome Clayborne’s home were reportedly subjected to horrific cruelty. Per deputies, one dog was locked in a wire crate with no access to water and had a 4.5 pound weight attached to its collar. Dog fighting paraphernalia, including a large supply of supplements and weighted vests, was reportedly found in Clayborne’s home.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  1. the states that condone this abuse are just as guilty as the abuser. These scumbags of the government need to make laws that protect animals in-
stead of the abusers. there needs to be strict laws made and enforced. there
is NO EXCUSE for these low lifes to get away with this. they need to be arrested and made to put on weights that are a lot heavier than they can
handle and then made to stand up and walk a few miles. why doesn’t the law investigate these scumbags and see what they are really doing with the dogs. the neighbors should keep an watch on them and see what is going on. then if they are training them for fighting they should turn them in.if they are dog fighters someone should destroy their equipment and place of fighting. they should be ambushed and shot but not killed.then executed in public to be made an example of.

    • Would it be any good writing to Trump about this? The law needs to be there to protect animals. They can’t speak so we must. These scumbags who do this deserve to be locked in a Pound without food and water and left to fight each other, they are the absolute dregs of society and should be shot at dawn (or sooner) , complete waste of space, should be disposed of

      • Is there a lawyer reading this who could set about improving the laws that protect animals? The poor creatures need love and respect. This needs to become headlines until something changes. The dregs of society only think about themselves until imprisoned or beaten up by strong baseball types : hope there is a group of young animal lovers who will have a go ( they could dump them in a ravine, they would not be missed )

  2. I’M GLAD THIS BASTARD WAS ARRESTED.

  3. Annica Eriksson says:

Mike – For those of us who tirelessly sign these Animal Cruelty Petitions on a daily basis, please treat this case as priority and throw the pieces of s _ _ _ responsible for this crime behind bars for as long as possible. We are the voice of the voiceless who cannot defend themselves and you hold the power and position to bring these members of the Animal Kingdom some justice, whom by the way, are citizens of this Earth too. Please show the world that Rankin County – and the state of Mississippi – WILL NOT TOLERATE animal cruelty and murder!

AMEN However he won’t stop unless he is put in jail for life, OR put down himself. Firing squad sounds REAL good to me.

  6. Marsha Brink says:

This should say WHEN convicted not IF.I Hate People!

  7. This sicko should be chained to the ground out in the wilderness so the wild animals can eat him alive. Then he might understand what he is inflicting on these poor dogs.

  8. Pamela Bolton says:

Another candidate for the firing squad. You know he won’t stop unless he is put down. He would have to spend LIFE in prison for him to stop abusing animals.

  9. Lisa Zarafonetis Lisa Zarafonetis says:

Bust his ass & keep him from EVER being around animals again❗️😠
    Signed & shared. 😡
