Thank Prince William for Fighting Against Wildlife Traffickers

Target: Prince William, Duke of Cambridge

Goal: Thank Prince William for the years spent fighting wildlife traffickers

The predictions for elephants, tigers, lions, and rhinos are grim. The mega-fauna of Africa and Asia are at risk of disappearing thanks to illegal poachers who kill these animals to sell in the black markets of China and other parts of Asia. Prince William, Duke of Cambridge has devoted many years into combating these atrocious behaviors, and he should be thanked for his commitment.

The tusks of elephants, the horns of rhinos; the teeth of tigers and the scales of pangolins — these animal products are highly sought after in China. It’s believed that the parts from these animals can cure various ailments. Unfortunately, because the market is so lucrative, animals are over hunted, and are now listed as endangered. In the past decade or so, awareness has been raised about the cruelty of poachers, and what can be done to stop their actions. Many are unaware that Prince William has supported this cause for many years now.

Recently, Prince William arrived at the White House to speak with President Obama and other prominent officials about creating a task force meant to drive away poachers and to preserve our animals. The task force will ask airliners and shipping companies to closely monitor what is being taken in and out of all of countries, particularly China, which contributes heavily to the illegal wildlife trade.

Prince William has acknowledged that the biggest problem lies with China, and he is doing everything in his power to stop the demand for animal products. This man has won the love of many wildlife organizations for his support, and he intends to pass on the love of wildlife onto his son George. Thank Prince William for his devotion and commitment for animal conservation.

Dear Prince William,

For years you’ve fought and struggled for the livelihood of elephants, tigers, and rhinos. All of these animals are endangered species, and they are being killed off by greedy poachers. The highest demand for these animals comes from China, and you’ve campaigned vigorously to provide protection for such creatures. It warms my hear to know that a member of the royal family is willing to speak out and support an issue such as animal conservation.

I am writing this letter to say thank you for your efforts. I know you will pass on this love for wildlife and animals to your son. I hope your efforts, and those made by other conservation groups will end the illegal wildlife trade.

  1. Cecily Colloby says:

I would like to think I’m wrong, but I believe Prince William and his wife are very happy to shoot and kill our English wildlife. No different, even if ours is not about to become extinct!!!

  2. Sandra Zaninovich says:

I grudgingly signed this. I’ll sign it much more happily when he and Harry stop hunting.

  3. Bina pannell says:

I agree with the rest of you. I was shocked that he and Harry were in Spain happily torturing wild boar one day, and walking around with Daddy campaigning for the conservation of wildlife the next. Utter hypocrites!!!

  4. Valerie Nordberg says:

I refuse to sign this petition. Royals sit on charity boards as figureheads, can criticize others about their treatment of wild animals but they themselves can shoot birds, boars and other wildlife with impunity. I call this hypocrisy.

  5. I will NOT be signing this petition. Prince William is a hypocrite. End of.

  6. I am NOT signing this- they are despicable hunters. They especially are fox hunters. What is wrong with you people.
