Target: Olympic Silver Medalist Gus Kenworthy
Goal: Commend Gus for helping stray dogs in Sochi
Along with his silver medal, 2014 Olympic athlete Gus Kenworthy has made headlines for his ‘heart of gold.’ Gus has been comforting and making adoption plans for stray dogs in Sochi. His compassion is much appreciated by many and gives hope to the downtrodden dogs of Sochi; commend Gus’s valiant efforts.
The Russian Host City for the Olympics has been eradicating stray dogs in the city in an attempt to create a better image for visitors. This blatant abuse and false pretense has been made public, and people are outraged by the city’s decision. Activist groups have already stepped in to help the stray dogs find homes, but they can’t do it alone. Many stray dogs have been looking for shelter in the Olympics’ mountain village, and one lucky mother and her pups have found safety with Gus.
Gus has plans to personally adopt one of the four puppies and has made arrangements for the others to be adopted. He has ensured that the dogs will be vaccinated and is “doing all he can to bring them home.” Gus’s dedication to these dogs has brought light to some serious issues in Sochi and will inspire other visitors to help the stray animals live better lives. It is compassion such as this that brings hope to mistreated animals and the state of our world. Commend Gus for his selfless acts by signing this petition.
Dear Gus Kenworthy,
You have recently made headlines for reasons other than your silver medal award. Your compassion and dedication to the stray dogs of Sochi is greatly appreciated; the world is watching and you are making the best impression possible. Thank you for ensuring that a mother and her pups get vaccinated and placed in suitable homes.
It is selfless acts like this that bring hope to the state of our world. Sochi’s treatment of stray animals is cruel and despicable. I greatly appreciate your efforts to make sure strays are taken care of, rather than destroyed.
Congratulations on your silver medal, and thank you for all that you do for animals.
