Justice for Dog Found Starving, Injured and Infested With 1000 Maggots

Target: Serge Rousselle, Attorney General, New Brunswick, Canada

Goal: Punish person responsible for the severe neglect of a dog, to the point that it was emaciated, dehydrated, and covered in maggot-infested wounds.

A young dog was recently found starving, severely dehydrated, and injured. The dog, who has no name yet, was originally rescued from the water by a woman who saw it drowning. When she saw the poor state that the dog was in, which included the presence of maggot-infected puncture wounds all over its body, she immediately took it to a veterinarian.

The veterinarian spent hours plucking over 1,000 maggots from the dog’s wounds. Officials currently suspect that the dog was chained for around two weeks without access to food or water. Injuries to the dog’s teeth suggest that it had to chew its way out of a chain in its desperate and emaciated state.

Once the dog is strong enough, it will require surgery. It will need to stay in the care of professionals for almost six weeks to recover. It will need constant bandage changes, monitoring, and a special diet to improve its health and increase its weight.

This severe neglect is unthinkable, and could have caused permanent damage to an innocent animal. In order to ensure justice for this dog, the person responsible must be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Sign the petition below to ask for the maximum possible penalty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Rouselle,

A dog was recently found emaciated, dehydrated, and covered in maggot-infested wounds. It was saved from drowning by a bystander, who brought it to a veterinarian. The vet spent hours removing over 1,000 maggots from the dog, who will require surgery, a special diet, and weeks of recovery time. Officials currently suspect that the dog was chained for up to two weeks, and chewed through its chain in a desperate attempt to escape.

This neglect is one of the worst cases that many of the dog’s rescuers have seen. The person responsible must be punished to the fullest extent of the law due to the shocking severity of the neglect. We, the undersigned, ask that you do everything within your power to ensure that the person responsible is harshly punished.

Sincerely,

  2. Candy Niewinski says:

I pray they find whoever did this to this to this beautiful baby, what a rotten POS! Karma will catch up to them.

  3. Someone, or even many people, know who the dog belonged to. Show this dog’s picture all over the media and ask for information. Most people love their dogs and would be happy to turn in the POS who is responsible for this poor dogs condition. Then throw everything you’ve got at the abuser.

  4. Patricia Williams says:

Someone knows who had this pup. Find them, get the A$$ Hole and throw him into prison, no food or water, oh and puncture
him and let the maggots feast on that POS!
