Goal: Commend Michele Gambone for putting up multiple billboards to raise animal adoption awareness
Adorable pictures of animals from shelters have started emerging on numerous billboards in New Jersey, and all of it is due to a woman named Michele Gambone. Since the beginning of 2013, Michele began buying up billboards all over the state of New Jersey. She had a goal in mind, which was to raise awareness about animal adoption in South Jersey, so she made it happen in a unique way. All she really anticipated from the billboards was to find homes for the animals living at the New Jersey Franklinville’s Halo House Animal Resort. All of the billboards have pictures of the dogs with a simple quote saying “adopt me” or a variation of the phrase. These animals, mainly dogs, were once abandoned and homeless so they needed all of the help they can get.
Michele Gambone’s billboard program has provided the publicity and spotlight that the animal resort needed to find the animals a place to live. To this day, dozens of dogs that were featured on the billboards have gone to loving new homes thanks to the campaign. Michele has used a lot of her own personal funds and free time to commit to this unique project. She writes the billboard ads, takes the pictures, and buys the ads for the billboards herself. In 2013 alone, she found homes for over forty animals. She has given a lot of herself to make the lives of these animals decent again.
Sign this petition to thank Michele Gambone for helping the animals. She has dedicated everything she can to rescuing animals, and that deserves a huge acknowledgement.
Dear Michele Gambone,
The dedication that you have put in for the shelter animals of New Jersey has made a tremendous difference. Thank you for putting up the billboards to raise awareness about pet adoptions. Most of the time, people seeking for pets are not aware that they can adopt pets from animal shelters. Some families go out and buy their children a new pet, not knowing that there are perfectly lovable pets in their own animal shelters.
Thank you for putting out the time to do all of this. Your billboard program has created awareness for the animals that didn’t have a chance of finding a home. All thanks to you and your billboards, over 40 and counting animals in South Jersey alone have found homes.
