Thank Organization for Saving Dogs from Euthanasia

Target: Bethany Mayuiurs, member of Kalamazoo Animal Rescue Project

Goal: Thank animal rescue project for saving over 30 dogs from being euthanized

In Kalamazoo, Michigan, an animal organization is trying to cut down on the unnecessary euthanasia of hundreds of animals around the United States every week. The Animal Rescue Project in Michigan is a volunteer-based organization that is trying its best to stop this from occurring. Some of the volunteers became part of this organization after seeing the horrible conditions of animals left at shelters and pounds. They have traveled all around the United States and Mexico to fulfill their goal to help save animals.

When the volunteers from the Animal Rescue Project heard news that Kentucky was about to euthanize canines that they didn’t have room for, they came in and tried to rescue as many as they could. They successfully saved 31 dogs and transported all of them to Michigan facilities to be restored back to health and offered for adoption.

Sadly, hundreds of animals are euthanized weekly in the state of Kentucky because shelters are extremely overcrowded. They have an abundance of animals, but not nearly enough room. According to Fox News, the state is unable to keep that many animals in its shelters, so it is forced to euthanize about 200 dogs and cats every week. On this rescue mission, the Animal Rescue Project found the animals locked away in low-lit rooms with no ventilation. Some of the dogs had parasites, worms, and other serious health problems.

The organization’s main priority is to restore the dogs and cats back to good health, so they are ready for adoption. Please sign this petition to thank the group for saving the animals from being euthanized.

Dear Bethany Mayuiurs,

You are part of an amazing group of people who are selflessly volunteering to help save the lives of thousands of animals. The Animal Rescue Project is an organization that is greatly needed in the United States. So many animals are euthanized every year because shelters do not have large enough facilities to take every single abandoned pet. This is an especially big problem in Kentucky, where hundreds of animals are being euthanized weekly. Lack of space is a huge issue in the United States and there is not yet a solution other than neutering and spaying stray animals. Until then, we are thankful for organizations like the Animal Rescue Project for trying to cut down the number of animal deaths.

Thank you for traveling all around the United States to help these animals gain a second chance at life. With your help, they are being moved to different states where they are being adopted and put into loving homes.

  4. Lisbeth Alvarado Sanchez says:

Thanks to the Animal Rescue Project for saving this precious lifes. It is terrible how many innocent animals are killed just because they don`t have a home. I can`t understand how can a person be capable of abandoning a pet when he or she is full of love and loyalty towards them. They are another memmber of our family and should be cherished as such.

  5. Thank you much for your wonderful, heartwarming worK,

Shame on those heartless ex- pet owners for abandoning them to an unfair fate …

  6. WE LOVE YOU — THANK YOU FOR RESCUING ALL OF THESE ANIMALS — THIS IS AS IT SHOULD BE — ALL SHELTERS SHOULD BE NO-KILL SHELTERS — THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE — Does it make sense to have a Kill Shelter?! Yet, kill-shelters exist — THEY SHOULD BE ABOLISHED — THEY SHOULD BE TRANSFORMED TO NO-KILL — THIS MAKES SENSE — Slaughtering, killing perfectly healthy and treatable animals does NOT make sense — it’s INSANE! Please, let’s make all shelters places where animals are protected, cared for, cared about … loving places where animals can hang out until they find their forever homes, no matter when.
