Praise Official for Seizing Animals from Hoarder

Target: Animal Control Supervisor, Joe Newburn

Goal: Thank an animal control supervisor for saving animals from a hoarder

Masses of animals were seized from poor living conditions in the Duplin County area of North Carolina. Animal control found 40 dogs and over 20 feral cats upon arriving at the house. Charges are now pending against the animal hoarder.

Animal control received a tip from authorities about the animals after a power company worker came by the house and saw all of the animals in sickening condition. He called authorities because he was concerned about the conditions that he saw in the house.

Animal Control Supervisor, Joe Newburn was the one that discovered the extent of the animal’s living conditions after speaking with the owner and presenting her with a search warrant. Her excuse was that the animals kept on breeding and it simply got out of hand. On top of that, she claimed that people would come to her residence to dump their unwanted pets for her to take care of. Many of these dogs have not had any human contact, so veterinarians had to handle them with caution.

The owner was devastated when animal control and police officers came to her house and seized all of her pets, but she willingly surrendered them to the authorities.

With the help of the North Carolina animal control, a lot of the dogs and cats have already found new homes. Please sign this petition to thank Supervisor Joe Newburn for rescuing these animals from a dangerous home.

Dear Joe Newburn,

So many animals fall victim to animal hoarders every year. Thank you for saving over 40 dogs and 20 cats that were living in this home. These animals were stuck in deplorable conditions with an owner that did not know how to take care of them. They were deprived of proper nutrition and a stable household. Your team of animal control officers were able to access the home and seize all of the animals from their owner. It was clear that she became overwhelmed with all of the animals that she took in.

No animal deserves to be in this type of environment. Thanks to you, most of the animals have been adopted and will have loving homes to go back to. We hope that all of these dogs and cats will eventually see a happy ending in their future.
