Woman Accused of Starving 21 Dogs and Endangering Officer Must be Punished

Target: Joseph Stanzione, District Attorney for Greene County, New York

Goal: Punish woman accused of endangering 21 dogs, police officers, an animal control officer, and the general public.

A woman is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly neglecting over 20 dogs, two of which were found to be emaciated by Greene County Animal Control. These two were found locked in a pen without water. A dozen more animals were found chained up outside, only a few with access to water and shelter. Five smaller dogs were also found in the house. The rescue of so many animals has resulted in an overcrowding situation at the animal control facility. One of the dogs required urgent veterinary care.

The woman, 52-year-old Lisa Jo Crawford, is also facing several charges in relation to her alleged resist of arrest. According to police, she backed her vehicle into an animal control truck, endangering the officer inside. This resulted in a chase, where Crawford was reportedly seen “swerving back and forth in her lane and slamming her brakes, trying to cause the deputy behind her to crash into her.” Crawford was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and opiates at the time of the chase.

This cruel behavior not only endangered animals, but police and an animal welfare officer as well as countless innocent drivers on the roads. In order to ensure that justice is brought to the victims, it’s important that the suspect is punished harshly. Sign below to ask the prosecutor to seek the maximum possible penalty in this case.

Dear Mr. Stanzione,

A woman is facing charges of animal cruelty, driving under the influence, evading arrest, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on an animal control officer and reckless driving after allegedly resisting arrest for neglecting 21 animals. Two dogs found on her property were emaciated, and a dozen more were chained outside without access to water or shelter. One of the animals required urgent veterinary care.

The woman, 52-year-old Lisa Jo Crawford, allegedly attempted to back into an animal control officer who was rescuing the dogs on her property, resulting in a chase that endangered the general public. This woman’s apparent lack of regard for the well-being of others must be punished harshly. We, the undersigned, ask you to seek the maximum possible penalty against her, if she is found guilty.

No mercy…no jailing at tax payers expense..a simple .15 cent bullet..all is resolved…all is well..

  3. I don’t call them “humans”. I call them subhuman demonic refuse. The scale of pain they inflicted upon an animal that did nothing to deserve it disturbs me to no end. That picture keeps running in my mind since I saw it and makes me livid.
